Hi! gurus in the house!
I plan on buying a 2008 Toyota Camry SE trim, the only hesitation i have is the low suspension which is not friendly with Nigerian road. However i am considering putting bigger tires on the SE hoping that that will raise the car up a little bit so that it solves the problem of low bumpers on bad roads. Please can the Gurus help me out.
a) Is this possible?
b) Will it solve the problem?

Is the camry's present setup standard or its been altered?

It might pose a slight turning challenge....but u won't regret it....in 2010 I got a Toyota camry pencil light which came with a rim 14....i ddnt like it at all...I hated small tires..thats one thing I love SUVs for but I couldn't afford it at that time....so I bought four 205/60/rim16.....and I rocked it for 3 yrs...
Nd to answer ur question...yes it's possible nd 2,it will solve the problem to an extent so far u have reliable shocks which will prevent ur car frame from resting on ur future taller tyres...my opinion though

This causes more suspensions damage than necessary, adds more weight to your car, reduce its 0-60 times, causes wider error margin in your speedometer readout, causes your car to consume more fuel, and of course try simulating a moose test in the wet you'd know how unstable that car has become.

0p, the original tyre size the car comes with it 16 inches, with a profile of 60 rim and tyre, if you want bigger tyres you will need a bigger rim, you can get an 18 inche wheel but get an 18 inch tyre with a profile of 50 or 45 instead of 60. It should balance out

Thanks guy. I haven't bought the car yet, I wanna buy it but that's the major complain i've been seeing about the SE trim here on NL. I guess i'll just go for an LE or XLE to avoid wahala. I've heard a lot of issues that come with altering the wheel size or tire size both in favour and against. i rather play safe.
