Ike Ekweremadu Reacts To Fulani Herdsmen's Attack In Enugu - Read by viviangist(op): 7:15pm On Aug 25, 2016
Nigeria's Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has condemned the recent attack on a community in Enugu state by Fulani herdsmen.

In a statement by his media aide, Ekweremadu bemoaned the incessant attacks on parts of the country by herdsmen, saying it posed a grave threat to the peace, security, and economy of the country.

“This is another heartbreak, not only for Enugu State, but the nation in general; and whatever evil forces behind these reprehensible acts certainly do not wish the country well. It must not be condoned.

“The primary object of government is the welfare and security of the citizens. The Federal Government must take decisive steps to put a full stop to this wanton destruction of lives and property; and the security agencies must do everything humanly possible to ensure that the perpetrators of this act of wickedness in Akagbe-Ugwu do not go unpunished”.

The Deputy President of the Senate condoled with the affected community and prayed for the peaceful repose of the dead.

I concur. What happened to sponsoring a bill like that passed into law today by Ekiti state? Let it be seen that he did something even if it might be defeated by the northern majority in the senate? angry

He's from Enugu state and he should do something more noteworthy than releasing political statements that carry no weight angry

Sir
If you read this, please note that there is a plan to islamatize Nigeria

We have been sold out by Adeboye & Co!

Something needs to be done, as these are Boko Haram men.

RevengeReloaded:
The President of Christian Association of
Nigeria, CAN, Archbishop Magnus Atilade, has
maintained that there is serious move to
Islamise Nigeria.

His remark is coming at a time when the Sultan
of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa’ad, denied insinuations
that Muslims were planning to Islamise the
country.

Abubakar had recently said, “It is not possible
to Islamize Nigeria. We must respect one
another and understand the tenets of the two
religions.”

But speaking in Lagos, the Archbishop said
there was plan to Islamise the country, stressing
that those who want to “eradicate Christians”
were busy planning on how to achieve their
sinister aim.

Revealing that there was a grand plot to make
Islam the official religion in Nigeria, Atilade
called on Christian organisations to form a
synergy and map out strategies on how they
could overcome the threat on Christianity.

He said, “As we are seeing in the whole world
now, no single church, denomination or
organistion, can save the world. We have work
to do and we need to be united to achieve a
common goal. Individual organisations working
alone have not been able to make an impact.

‘’Those who want to eradicate Christianity are
very busy, those who are killing Christians and
destroying churches in the north are very busy,
they are coming up with different plans
everyday and we as Christians cannot fold our
arms and watch them destroying the church of
Jesus Christ.

Isn't the president the person that's supposed to be condemning this? How many communities ravaged by herdsmen has the president visited? And they blame GEJ for not showing sympathy for victims of boko haram
