This is not true!.

A lot of thing is responsible; most important is the nonchalant attitude of northern elites to get their youths shun religious fanaticism since the 80's. Churches were burnt, people from Southern part of the country were killed, sharia law was adopted as supreme over the Nigerian constitution, but no northerner batted an eyelid. Of course, quantitative improvement leads to qualitative improvement- vise-versa. That's what gradually birthed northern militancy over the years cum boko haram.

Is the north the only region failed by successive Nigerian governments? Why don't we have terrorist groups all over the country?

Therefore, Sanusi have no idea why the economic crises of today.

And, this's the type of thing that gets me depressed. How could this man be among the best of the intellectuals a country can afford?. See him on TV and all he does is speak English. Unfortunately, we have all been brainwashed to believe someone speaking English fluently is wise. Someone that clearly have nothing to offer on the economic problem.

Let me say this again, the root cause of economic problem in third world countries (not just in Nigeria) is lack of true education. The model of education left behind by colonial powers in their former colonies is the single major reason for poverty in third world countries. We cannot develop, until we uproot that system of education and install ours.

I have no time to write epistles now. I have explained this in details in part 1 and 2 of the link on my signature. In fact, my theory predicted the economic crises in Nigeria.
