The Nigerian government has increased the access fee for all vehicles seeking entrance into the airports

The increase in the gate charge was made by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and will take effect on Thursday, September 1st 2016.

FAAN in its notice said cars which normally paid N200 to gain access into the airports will now be mandated to pay N400 while buses, jeeps and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) will pay N600 against its former gate fee of N300. Similarly, trucks will be mandated to pay a charge of N1,000 before gaining access into the airports.

Following the notice, the spokesperson for FAAN Yakubu Datti could not be reached on his mobile telephone number to clarify the need for the increase.

Believe me, more increase is coming soo.

it means to and fro for SUV is 1200, if you are to park inside the airports car park,additional 600 unto wetin naw?this is the airport where he be say na only one road enter o,hold up go hold u sometimes miss flight. Their shuttle bus ain't working then what's the essence of the money collected?

Corruption in that airport pass that of the national assembly.

just multiply the price of any mode of conveyance by
the number of vehicles entering dia at once by the number of times they will enter dia a day. i believe we know hw much dat will b made a day, week, month and even year.
