good day my fellow nairalanders, please I need help activating my visa card for online transactions; on Saturday, I lost my verve card and went to the bank to get a new one but they did not have verve and I accepted VISA because I didn't know the difference. To cut the story short, I learnt through the internet that to perform an online transaction with the visa card, you have to get a VERIFIED OR I-PIN. I went to the bank today and one of the customer care agents helped me activate it in their ATM machine.
However, even after the activation, I have not been able to perform the online transaction I want;.. it keeps displaying: your card have not been registered for verified, contact ur financial institution.
please nairalanders, what could be the problem and what can I do to solve it

What bank? I'd say if it's still not working now, consider getting a new card. Maybe Master Card?

if u check the business section on nairaland u would see a thread i opened with a similar problem yesterday. i dont tink its the card, it has to do with this naira - dollar palava. i called my banks customer care and was told that there is a restriction on debit cards. unless i have a debit card linked to a dom account, i cant do international online transaction.

try call ur banks HQ, card issues are not dealt with at the branch level.
