Tuesday, September 6th The Power of Seed Offerings - 1. “And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.” (1 Kings 3:4-5) There is a life given principle in every fruit bearing seed. Every seed has the power to reproduce itself when sown on good ground and protected from weeds. And it usually produces in multiple proportions of what is sown. Besides, it is the kind of seed you sow that you are going to reap. Every thing in God's Kingdom revolves around the principle of seed sowing. The offerings we give to God are seeds. But unlike fruit bearing seeds, seed offerings have greater range of harvest beyond what is sown. There is so much power in offering offered to deities whether God or devils. However, the latter does not give you any blessing for free. It is in exchange for your peace, lives of your children, long life and even your soul. There are different kind of offerings. We have the regular offering we give to God in response to the messages we receive during regular church services. But there are times we give God special offering because of a need we desire so strong or an intervention we want to see in certain situations beyond human solutions. Such offerings are referred to as seed offerings. Seed offerings are so powerful that harvest you reap from it can benefit even generations yet unborn. Some adverse situation some people face today are the results of seed offerings offered to idols by their fore fathers. That is why some families have a particular negative traits in their lives. It is even worse if one or more of the family members have taken over the evil altar of darkness from their fathers. You are not supposed to dread them or be frustrated. What you need to do is to periodically offer to God quality seed offerings. It will protect and disconnect you from the power of the evil altar. Sometimes, evil men appears to display more power that even affect God's children. This is because, while these evil men give quality offerings to their idols, God’s own children are giving pea nuts. The offering Noah gave after the flood is an example of a quality seed offering. It reversed the curse God pronounced on the ground after the fall of Adam. (Genesis 8:21). It also provoked God to enter into a covenant with Noah. You and I are preserved from destruction by flood till this day by virtue of that covenant. Life is spiritual. As a child of God, learn to offer unto God quality offerings from time to time. You see in the opening passage how the quality offering King Solomon offered to God provoked God to give him an open cheque. Sow also into the life of as many as you have the opportunity to give especially the children of God. Do not also forget to bless the man of God placed over your life. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9-10) Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for every opportunity given me to sow my seeds. As I sow my seeds at your altar, disconnect me from every negative traits in my family and open doors of financial and material favour for me in the name of Jesus. Amen. Further Study: John 12:24; Galatians 6:7; 1 Kings 17:9-16 Daily Scripture Reading: John 7-8; Genesis 41. Wednesday, September 7th The Power of Seed Offerings - 2. “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater". (Isaiah 55:10). Today, we will unveil more principles that governs seed sowing. Yesterday, we emphasized on the need to sow quality seed offerings periodically. We saw how the uncommon offering King Solomon offered attracted uncommon favour from God. There are however more principles that governs how your seed offerings should be sown if you want to get a good harvest and favour from God. One of such principles is gotten from the opening text. The latter part says, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. What we can deduce from this scripture is that your seed comes before your meat. When you receive money, do not put your personal needs first before you plan what to give. It negates even the principles of farming. A wise farmer doesn't eat his harvest first. He separate first the best seeds to plant in next farming season. We are familiar with the story of Cain and Abel. They both at one time brought offerings to God. While Abel gave the firstlings of his flocks and the best, Cain gave the left over. Genesis 4:3-5. The Lord had respect to Abel and his offering while he had no respect to Cain and his offering. Always plan what you want to give first before your personal expenses. God will not take second place or last place in your financial budgets. You must give him first place otherwise he will have no place in your life. Don't be like Cain. He ended up as a vagabond. His generation was wiped off because he dishonoured God. Prayer/Confession: Father, thank you for all the financial and material blessings I receive. I will honour you with my seed first before attending to my personal needs. I reject any form of temptation that attempts to make me act otherwise in Jesus name. Amen. Further Study: 2nd Corinthians 9:10; Ezekiel 44:30. Daily Scripture Reading: John 9-10; Genesis 42. Thursday , September 8th The Power of Seed Offerings - 3. “And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing..." (2nd Samuel 24:24) We have so far established some fundamental truths concerning seed sowing and the power it unleashes. You must sow quality seeds and also plan your seed first before your personal expenses. Today, we will look at one more principle you should be acquainted if you want to reap a good harvest or overturn an adverse circumstance. Your seed must cost you something. This is not the same thing as a quality offering. A quality offering may not necessarily cost the giver. It depends on his financial status. For instance, an offering of N50,000 ($125) might be termed a quality offering but it doesn't cost the giver anything if he a billionaire. King David at one time committed an error for which he was being punished by God. The punishment was so severe that 70,000 Jews died in a short space of time. (2nd Samuel 24). He was counseled to offer sacrifice. The plot of land he was to use was offered to him freely but King David said he will not offer unto God what cost him nothing - 2nd Samuel 24:24. When David offered his sacrificial and quality burnt offering, the death plague stopped. So when you sow your seed, give to God what cost you something. This is what gets God's attention and provoke the needed miracle or supernatural intervention of God. No wonder the Psalmist said, "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalms 126:5-6). Prayer/Confession: Father, I thank you for opening my eyes to understand divine truths concerning seed sowing. My mind is made up to always give you my very best. As I do, I know it will be multiplied back to me a hundred fold and overturn all evil schemes of darkness against me in Jesus name. Amen. Further Study: Exodus 23:19; Luke 21:1-4 Daily Scripture Reading: John 11-12; Genesis 43. Friday, September 9th The Power of Seed Offerings - 4. “And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not. Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land". (2nd Kings 3:26-27). We have so far unveiled certain truths about seed sowing and the power behind it. The passage above perhaps reveals the power of seed offering in such a way that beats the imagination of the mind. Let's begin to analyze the event that led to the unmatched sacrifice the King of Moab offered to avert further defeat. First, King Jehoram of Israel declared war against the King of Moab for rebelling against him. He got the cooperation of the King of Judah and the King of Edom to join him in the war. They even sought the prophecy of Elisha on the outcome of the battle. Here is what Prophet Elijah told them, "And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones".(2nd Kings 3:18-19). The King of Moab thought he saw pool of blood in the camp of Isreal from afar. So, he concluded Isreal and his allied nations have slain themselves and initiated the attack only to find his Waterloo. Desperate to overturn the war in his favour, he engaged his 700 reserved army but it didn't make any difference. He then took his eldest son who would have succeeded him and offered him as burnt offering. The battle turned against Israel and they retreated. Just think about it. The battle turned against God's own people because of the unmatched sacrifice offered by the King of Moab. This explains the reason why evil men sometimes appears to have the upper hand over some of God's children. While they make great sacrifices to their gods, some of these professing believers dishour God with unworthy offerings. The story reveals to us that you can overturn any circumstances you don't want. It all depends on how much sacrifice you are willing to offer at the altar of God. The Bible however forbids us to sacrifice humans. Prayer/Confession: Heavenly Father, I acknowledge you as my strength and my shield. I have learnt so much about the power of seed offerings. I pray that you will accept every worthy seed I sow at your altar in the name of Jesus. I cancel every evil sacrifice of wicked men directed on me and my destiny in the mighty name of Jesus. I lift up the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus done on my behalf against every evil sacrifice of the enemy in the name of Jesus. Amen. Further Study: Genesis 22:16-18; 1st Samuel 7:8-10. Offering is a spiritual sacrifice offered unto God. Even Juju Priest receives offering offered to idols. Offerings are so powerful that it can open doors of favour and prolong your life. You do not enrich a man of God with your offering. Men of God also give their offerings to receive blessings. If a man of God does not give, no matter how much offering he receives, he will not be rich. Read through the devotional very well. It will answer your question. |

Now you have compared your offering to juju priest, is it what it is? They stand in comparison? Why did you quickly use juju as an example when asked about God? Does it equate to you? As someone who represent sayings of the Bible (which i find questionable now) aren't there better explanation in the contest to use to explain a doctrine? Secondly, you talk about enrichment of pastors, why did you jump into that conclusion when i never wasnt going there? or is it what it is? Now, since you mentioned that topic, can u explain to me the source of wealth of these pastors? What you said, that offering can open many doors what do you mean? is that the same as when Jesus said knock and it shall be opened? Did Jesus lack the right word to use when he said ask and ye shall receive? Ken4Christ: |

The way you guys are materializing the church is unprecedented. you guys have no shame at all. all you care about is making money in the name of God. what do you mean by seed offering apart from money. easily put the word money collection and it will be clear to all. |
