pls help me out I would love to update ma android fone to the current version 6. should I do it? is there going to be a problem? ma techno version is p5

I think OTA update is the safest and best....

Some customer ROM might have one or two issues. Updated my hot note with a custom ROM via mtk toolz and now one or two apps would never install, probably there is a solution I don't know of yet tho. Before the update it was installing fin.

Anytime I switch it off and put it bak on, my fone resets to factory settings on its own..



So yes, it does have an effect.

LOL.. . Tecno p5 can't be updated bro.. And no if the software update was smartly done

An update is done for a whole lot of reasons.

I was convinced by my dear brother to buy C9. It is now one month since I started using it. Now I am so in love with the phone.


Honestly C9 rocks, forget that it is Techno brand.

If not properly done could render the phone useless with some features not functioning well again, especially when such updates were not pushed to you by your phone maker. Flashing custom ROM can be dangerous except you know what you are doing.

I don't think their should be a problem..... You just have to find the right sources...

I update my phone from 5.1 to 6.0 and problem detected..

1 backup your P5 software
2 root your phone
3 download lollipop or Marshmallow stock software for P5
4 install it

NB: google is your friend on how to go about these

Tecno, I don't know about. you can check their official site for firmware if it doesn't support OTA. avoid custom Rom as much as possible, except if you are willing to take the risk.

for phones that support OTA, Do not update OTA If you've rooted your phone, instead, do manual update.

always backup your rom, in case you get stuck in bootloop..

yes in most cases loss of battery power.... and the loss of those beautiful features that attracted you to the phone in the first place.... android users can relate...especially lenovo users!

Every apps works for me if install but some won't just install and battery life drops too I think...

How z ur present battery life?

Don't try it man, tecno phones are crap in terms of update....they dont produce official update like infinix & other products...and even if a custom rom will be used to update it, i doubt if ur tecno p5 will ever turn on again
