I Know I Came Here Confused, I Am Not So Sure Now
thousands of years, this questions have torment the minds of humans. thousands of years different cultures have told us myths(myths are not supposed to be debated) about "God". some term "him" Vishnu some Elohim some Yahweh amadhioa, some Zeus, some Allah some eledumare some ogene.

and thousands of years from now same questions will torment humans. great men, philosophers have come and gone no one proved or disproved "God" note, am not religious.

the idea that God has always existed, that no one created God is very hard to comprehend to us humans, hence people adopt "faith". because of our limited knowledge trapped in this physical world. there could be other worlds which to us would be termed "unreal"

remember, there's always a point where "logic and reason" halts. there's always that point where logic and reason get used up and no way to apply them again. then "faith" comes in. that's the point of Catholic philosophers.

so my friend, do you really think you can know God? do you really think you can have a satisfying answer? why do you bother? I'll tell you why.

pride. our problem as humans is pride, and pride comes with "knowledge". goats don't bother, cats don't bother, horses don't bother, no animal bothers about after life and God except man. due to "knowledge(forbidden fruit)... we see ourselves too important to just exist and die, just like that. no purpose. no after life to continue our sweet life. that's why people fear death. because "physical life" is
the only real deal. but who is sure it's the real deal? who died and came back?

why bother yourself? be good. pray. go to church or mosque. live your life. this very short life. enjoy yourself. for the closest we can get to "the truth" is death. that's the state in which we have a chance of knowing what's beyond the physical.

religious people and atheists are doing same thing. read my thread on "CONSTANTS AND VARIABLES"... everyone trying to pitch a tent with what makes one comfortable in the face of the greatest torment in human history. which are questions of "after life" "God"... because really that question is a pain in the ass of pride(humans only)

keep an open mind. don't let them(theist and atheist) lead you blindly.

The word of God.

If There Is No Proof, Then Logic And Reason Is The Next Best Thing Not Faith..If I Read You Text Right, You Are Saying People Are Religious Mainly Because Of The Premise Of Living After Death? Sounds To Me Like Greed..Ask Questions While You Are Alive And Do Not Throw Away Logic And Reason Because You Are Afraid Of Not Living Again After You Are Dead. You Owe It To Yourself And Humanity.

Being open-minded entails looking at every argument that you are confronted with using the same level of scrutiny. From my experience, the non-believers usually present more compelling arguments. An open-mind seven out of ten times will lead away from God, especially the God that Ammyluv2002 is trying to present.

grin you predicted right. Abso1utezero became a non believer because of his open mindedness. I'm happy for him
