If Gej were to be your father, maybe you would have been reasonable or Ngozi been your mother, maybe you would've been more useful with your life somewhere in London than campaigning for APC more than 18 years after winning elections. All your Facts( propaganda) are outdated and is becoming boring because we've discovered them for what they are,LIES.
You better stayoff here a bit and reflect on your impression about PMB,maybe you'll realise he's set everyone whether rich or poor backwards with his lack of policy direction and putting square pegs in round holes. The government is even failing in its first task of administration as can be seen in the frequent darkness in our airports, (our get way to the world and only God knows if they are not doing a dirty business).
Unless your unemployed, Buhari is unfit to govern present Nigeria with vibrant youths (enterpreneurs)who needs an enabling environment to thrive in and that's why opon on the alleged looting of Nigeria by Nigerians the economy was still the biggest in Africa.
Until we bring people like Gej and NOI with their team back,am sorry we ain't going to see development in Nigeria considering our present structure.

You are a dishonest personality. Keep on deluding yourself.

Who will he call? He is a professional himself cos since 2003 he have been maintaining 150 cows until 2015, then who's more professional than Buhari?
Secondly, he is recession himself cos when he overthrew Shagari in 1983 Nigeria went into recession and u people expect the opposite in 2016.

A man that is naturally brainless is brainless for life.

Hating the man in power will take you nowhere.

Most of the sadists commenting on this thread are lazy importers who no longer have access to forex as a result of GEJ maladministration, who are not interested in local production, and who are still pained that GEJ lost out in the last general election.

I was actually expecting good suggestions from contributors on these thread only for some people to come here and start vomiting venoms.

What the government is doing is not unusual. Every organization facing difficult times does that.

paid Zombi*

You think everybody is like you. You may have been collecting money from GEJ when he was president. That does not give you the right to accuse others of doing the same thing. If your conscience is troubling you, deal with it. grin

Tinubu is more clever than Buhari. He knew from the onset that the 'Change' agenda of APC is a scam, a mere propaganda so quietly appointed the commissioner as Vp and went back to Ikoyi continue his looting jeje and godfather politics.
Today the greedy maalam bubu is having sleepless night and day

I don't like Buhari at all. I do not hate him either. What I am saying is if everyone is whining and complaining like most of you are doing here on naira land, this nation will never recover from this economic recession.

I know a lot of people who instead of grumbling are actively involved in contributing their own quota at helping the nation by establishing their own businesses. They are doing it quietly without government involvement.

Lack of forex to import with the accompanying increase in the cost of those goods is encouraging local investors like me and others to enter into the production of those goods.

Those who are investing their precious time and money into local production of hitherto imported goods knows that the current economic recession is helping to reset and reshape the economy for the better in the future. Imagine how many jobs will be created in the long run.

Only those who don't have anything tangible to contribute to the development of the economy waste their precious time lamenting on naira land while serious minded people are laughing to the banks.

Until this country liberalizes its economy and gets rid of the regulations and bureaucracy that stifle business and job growt this country would not reach its full potential.
If i were the President i would use this crisis as an opportunity to restructure the country along regional lines and COMPLETELY cease allocations. This are the things that stifle innovation and businesses in this country.

It could all be so simple but Nigerians are addicted to failure. End national cake, return land and mineral right to individuals, economic Freedom, enforce property rights, get government out of running business, let free market handles issues. Then wait a few years watch us transform like Asian tigers economis did.

I'm glad for your enthusiasm. It's good to stay positive at times like this.
But.
Are you aware that the cost of production still makes imports cheaper than homemade items?

Are you aware that in a recession even if your products are the only ones in the market, you will be producing for an ever dwindling number of customers each day, each week, each month- due to more job losses and a worsening economy?
Are you aware that the primary reason why the status quo will continue is because northern interests- and a serious case of fright- will make them prevent any attempts at real change?

Are you aware that oil was the primary, but unspoken reason for the civil war?
If buhari is sincere in his efforts then I pity him because he's been set up to fail.
The only way for this nation to succeed is for the arewa youths to be convinced that it's in their interests.
Because they're the only ones who can get the northern oligarchs on board- or go against them.

Abi o! Nigeria is ranked 116 in the world economic freedoms index and they wonder why the country is still poor. http://www.heritage.org/index/ranking

Finally, it feels good to hear someone who knows how free markets work.
