ABOUT BAUCHI STATE
It is a state in northern Nigeria. Its capital is Bauchi.
Bauchi State is located in the North-Eastern part of the country.
The State shares borders with Plateau State to the West, Kano State to the North and Yobe and Gobe States to the north-east.

HISTORY
Bauchi State is a State in northern Nigeria. The state was formed in 1976 when the former North-Eastern State was broken up. It originally included the area now in Gombe State, which became a distinct state in 1996.

Bauchi state is an agricultural state. Its vast fertile soil is an added advantage for agricultural products, which include maize, rice, millet, groundnut and guinea corn. Irrigation fanning is practiced and supported by the use of dams like Balanga dam, etc. Cattle and other livestock are also reared in the state

I am not a fan of long essay.. I will just say the things I feel PCMS need to know.

OYO state is a very cool place to serve...

*STANDARD OF LIVING*

D standard of living in oyo state is on d average.. things like accommodation, prices of food and transportation are cheap and affordable.

STATE ALLAWEE.

OYO state government pays Corp members #3800.. I actually thought the state stopped paying Cos of d recent recession but I have been corrected by d current Corp members that d state still pays..

majority of Corp members posted To oyo state serve as teachers(apart frm doctors and lawyers). this is because there are limited private companies and firms in d state when compared with Lagos or Ogun.

this doesn't mean every OYO kopa serves in schools, there are exceptional cases.. but most, serve as teachers.

SECURITY AND TREATMENT OF CORPERS

Oyo state,like most southwestern states is a safe place for corpers.

d people of oyo state appreciate corpers and treat them well ND specially..

SOCIAL LIFE

if u get posted to the state capital(Ibadan), oyo state is socially okay.. and unlike Lagos state, u do not spend much.

OYO BABES

no disrespect to d ladies, like most things in d state, oyo babes are not too expensive too.. so, ma guys.. una fit enjoy Dem without spending all ur ALLAWEE.

Lagos is part of the 36states in Nigeria.. anybody can get posted to any state.

d only issue is, d demand for states like Lagos is high.. and it is not by just registering early..

but no school has uploaded on nysc portal Cos it's not Time yet. (check d timetable for more info)

contact ur school DSA to find out if Senate list has been pasted.

I have friend in Abuja. And yes, he can help me with placement. I don't know about retention, but I know there are factors that could boost one's chances of being retained. My friend is serving with SON, I guess they pay him. I'll ask.

I understand. Another reason I chose Abuja is because Abuja and Kwara are the two North Central states I'm comfortable with, and I schooled in Ilorin, that rules Kwara state out.

Nice meeting you too,well,we've being discussing about the various states inorder for us to familiarize ourselves with some facts about them,the pros and cons for a corper as well before registration commence.
The timetable is out(probably you know about this).
You can as well tell us about the state you are,state of origin or residence.
