APC NWC Says No Basis To Disqualify Ondo Governor Primary Poll Winner by kahal29(op): 5:54pm On Sep 20, 2016
SaharaReporters has learned that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reversed the appeal recommendation nullifying the Ondo State primary election. The NWC says that there is no basis to disqualify the poll result declaring Rotimi Akeredolu the victor.

This news follows a growing leadership crisis centered on questions whether the APC primary delegate list was forged thereby rigging the election.

Why set up an appeal panel if you will not accept the decision of the panel? Lack of internal democracy is the bane of political parties in Nigeria. They set the rules and then refuse to follow the same rules once it is not in the interest of some certain people. If the party cannot accept the outcome of its own internal crisis resolution mechanism, how then will it demand for the full support and loyalty of aggrieved members?

As if you read my mind. If they can't accept the Appeal Panel's recommendation, then why set it up at the first instance? So it was set up for formalities?

Tinubu might be good in political strategy, but his hubris is as large as his strategies. He should know which fight to pick and when to throw in the towel. He who fights and run away, lives to fight another day.

His fight with Saraki, Fashola, Fayemi and others has cost him many things. He only has Lagos in his pocket. Osun is half gone cos Ogbeni is rounding up his 2nd term and looking at asserting himself too. He cannot be a political baby on Tinubu's back forever.
