It's not 5000 but 2000 years and he reconciled man back to himself through Christ. Since then, everyone would have become children of God, if not for the devil that has been allowed to continue deceiving man and afflicting him. But its because Adam gave him the right in d first place.

In the coming millennium, after the One World Government, the Devil will be bound to never deceive the nations again and there will be no more sin, sickness, war again till they 1000 years are over.

And here is the meaning of that allegory ...

Adam and Eve .... Human couple (and there were many of such couples all over the earth with Adam being the generic name for male and Eve for female)

Tree of Life .... Humanity's back brain which enables them to receive messages from God's servants (angels and guides)

Tree of Knowledge .... Humanity's frontal brain, their seat of earthly intelligence which enables them to act on earth.

Forbidden fruit .... Vanity

Serpent .... Lucifer

By engaging in vanity which started with the female and then the male under the prompting of Lucifer, the intellect of humanity was over the years elevated against their spiritual brain.

This led to the silencing of the spiritual part of us and the consequent disconnection from God (as depicted in the driving out of Adam and Eve in that story)

With this, Lucifer is now the puppet master. He controls majority of humanity, all materialists are his slaves.

That is the reality for millennia. It has nothing to do with sex or how else would humanity have been able to become "fruitful"

it's wrong to think the fruit was an Apple but it's pure stupidity to think it's sex. First of all ask yourself why was Earth made in the first place? God is king . and every king wants more dominion, loyalist, servants ,dominion, power and of course more lands. the earth was supposed to be a colony of heaven, an extension of His fellowship.
Actually there were two such trees fruits in that garden (earth) . one was the tree of Good and evil (Gen 2:9) and other the tree of life(Gen 3:22) The fruit was a property of heaven, for Angels and Heaven's citizens to feed on from time to time. while humans eat their normal food. God kept it on earth for man to cultivate it ( just like when one have servants working in his farm. they were not supposed to eat the produce but cultivate it ) God trusted man that's why he placed him there with the fruit. Genesis 3:8 explained God Himself coming down to the garden in "the cool of the evening" walking in the garden probably to collect the ripe fruits back to be used in Heaven ..he came from time to time to do this I guess . Man was supposed to be loyal and dependent on the King-God. he wasn't supposed to have certain *classified information and intelligence meant for heaven's own citizen. he was supposed to live according to rules and statue .. But he betrayed God's trust by eating what he was asked to secure and not eat . ( of cos the devil knew this , he was formally a citizen of heaven before he committed treason and was banished ) so he lured man into committing the sin of disobedience and BETRAYAL . After man ate of the tree he became wiser . he realized the importance of freedom and choice .his senses became high even to the extent of knowing he was naked . he became like heaven citizen. when God realized this (gen 3:8-13). he cursed them and chase them out of the already made garden to work for themselves . He was also worried they would eat from the tree of life too and become like heaven citizen . " then the LORD God said :Look, the Human beings have become like us ( Heaven citizens) knowing both good and evil (power of choice ,freewill,wisdom, freedom to choose between good or evil ) .
