[size=15pt]Enugu Rangers Win NPFL After 32 Years [Photos][/size]

Rangers International of Enugu have lifted the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for the first time in 32 years.

In a masterclass performance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, the Flying Antelopes who last lifted the trophy in 1984 defeated El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.

Chisom Egbuchalam was the star of the game as he scored a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory.


Rangers took the lead in the 2nd minute through Chisom Egbuchalam. Isaac Okoro doubled the lead in the 42nd minute.

Egbuchalam scored his second in the 64th minute. He made it three through the penalty spot in added time.

Rangers will have its coach Imama Amapakabo and its players to thank for this historic event.

I was so disappointed that mods couldn't move the match to the front page, and they are busy promoting European leagues. Believe you me, Enugu Rengers deserve the title, they played the game, the 25000 sit of the stadium is always full to the brim, I just love their aggressive nature of their game.
As an Enugu Man, this is my day of Nkwobi. Celebration galore.....

Keep pushing useless matches like Burnley vs Arsenal to the front page while this very significant match with so much history in it was not even mentioned.
Everything about this game was amazing except the sad injury to Ifeanyi Egwim.
I had always hesitated to join those who claimed Nairaland had become useless but today I agree with them 100%.
I neither support Rangers nor El-Kanemi (I'm a Kwara Utd/Accra Hearts of Oak/Chelsea FC supporter) but this match promised to be a spectacle for neutrals and it largely was.
Again, shame on Nairaland!
