Its obvious ur economics is poor so nk need to try to explain complex macro economics. ..

If Buhari remove hamds completely from forex regulations (which i thibk he should do)... The naira will drop really low and the inflation rate will sky rocket. .. amd its still people like u tgat will complak . ...
Is it very hard for you to understand that Buhari is/was a failure back to back, two times he headed Nigeria, recession comes knocking or was GEJ also responsible for 1984/1985 recession??

Its obvious ur economics is poor so nk need to try to explain complex macro economics...

Re: RECESSION: Nigeria’s Oil, Gas Reserves Running Out, NNPC Warns by Nobody:
The difference between the developed countries and shitholes like Naigeria is in those countries they understand that their most important resources is the human resource. and measures are put in place to develop their human capacity to move their countries forward and we can see the dividends.
In naija however the most important resources will remain crude oil and other mineral reaources

and thats why the government will pump billions into exploration and securing mineral interest with little or no money towards developing education or improving health. the govt willsacrifice the well being of her citizens for mineral resources even the citizens are not left behind as they happily encourage foreigners to exploit them for money

Is there a prospect of oil in the places being drilled..?? Yhe ans is yes.. So why should we leave our resources

What will be bad if we produce 10 million barrels per day and it still only country 20% of our earnings as a country

U really don't know what diversification is and how it works
Brother am sure we all have lived long enough to know that if even if we start producing 10million barrels a day it wont change anything. Nigeria as the big brother in Africa is managed by intelligent slaves to the western nations. Africa has a refining capacity of less than 4% of the world's total.

Majority of the African nations import refined products from the west. We should be clamouring for refineries and not exploration anymore. We should never export a barrel of crude oil again till we are able to satisfy the African market with refined fuel. An initiative like this will ensure that African wealth remains in Africa and watch out as the naira becomes the African dollar.

But our Harvard trained technocrats will never think towards this direction because they are slaves to the Western world. Kachiukwu once said that it's cheaper to import fuel than to refine in Nigeria.

We are talking about making Nigeria non oil dependent country, but u still cheer this administration for wasting money they would have channelled into agriculture making it an enabling environment for farmers. But, what do we get in return, removing the subsidy on fertilizer & handing it over to retired generals. What sort of diversification is that?? Please Stop Being An Enemy Of Nigeria..

Bro, Buhari is the architect of his own problems, he knows the right thing to do but chose to do other wise. So don't try to make other people take the blame..

NB: Patriotism Is Not Cheering Your Country In Regression, It's About Making Them Sit Tight When You Noticed They Are Deviating. But, you & you ilk would rather die than to castigate this government & anybody that criticizes them is automatically a wailer or IPad yoot

I liked your post but I would like you to know that there's been a new haste to reach a credible refining capacity as witnessed by the Dangote refinery and others being presently embarked upon.

It means presidency or government will not be on auto pilot. Nobody will deem it as a matter of fact to loot us. Although it sounds nice but each country under OPEC has a quota to produce per day. If every country decides to increase her production that way there will be too much oil and the price will crash even futher

Am aware of that... Dangote's refinery is still not enough.
Not sure if it will even take the continent's refining capacity to 10% of the world's total.

There are others on stream.

The state owned refineries would be sold once these privately owned plants become productive.

I get angry when I read pieces of news like this one. Aside from the need to diversify into non-oil sector in other to reduce significantly the dependence on oil revenue, Government should encourage companies to find new oil as means to beef up the depleted reserves! It's there; untapped resources. Companies may need to expand their horizon, drill deeper where necessary and Government should be ready to give some tax reprieve where necessary to encourage increased exploration efforts. Production sharing contract terms should also be looked into so that E&P companies can be buoyed to invest more in technologies aimed at finding new oil.

More exploration should be undergoing presently....deep water fields are being developed...

Marginal fields can revived to almost optimum production by using recent enhanced recovery methods...

Bottom line there are a lot of untapped reserves in the Niger delta that should be explored and exploited...

That of the Chad basin too... cool
so you want them to ha e more reason to drain the ND na lie
no more exploration they should focus on Agriculture

does it means that Dangote is foolishly building the largest refinery in lagos or the new one proposed in ogun. Give it to SE with greatest human resource.

Na local governments be that? As in do they have people living in those local governments to be catered for? The ones with people living there, have they catered for them?

The fact is, if you visit or just drive past those places, you won't see any single soul. The people fend for themselves where you are lucky to find some. Corruption in Nigeria is too endemic to be eradicated.

To successfully eradicate corruption, first of all eradicate all those fake structures we got running in the name of governance.

No sir, the IOCs' suspended exploration and major projects due to government's inability to fund its' JV partnership. Until the JV funding is addressed and the petroleum industry given a clear direction via a sound and purposeful legislation (read PIB), the reserves will continue to go south.
These simple acts have however proved to be rocket science for our successive governments.
This is absolute! Kudos.
