but most people that applied and still applying for this government and online jobs are doing it just to fulfill all righteousness.

as for me I ve started acquiring some skills already.
so people step out of ur shadow, drop that your university cert, go learn some skills even if it means leaving ur current city cos of the pride associated with being a graduate.

My brother you must have awakened the sleeping graduates if they are concerned. Most time when I read post on nairaland about job openings I will just jump and pass to avoid wasting my resting time. But it is quite unfortunate that after a week my people will come home with the advert in which case the refusal is termed laziness. That's the only reason I apply for jobs if not: I eat ,sleep, think and maneuver and its paying, my own genuine way though.

Everything in life is a chance. Even the chance of succeeding in any entrepreneurialship is slim. I have sat for a scholarship where only 30 people were picked and thousands applied and I happened to be one of those eventually picked. It takes optimism, courage and determination to succeed in such an undertaking.

We all can't be farmers, businessmen, etc. Some are destined to be in civil service. If that's is the case, let everyone follow his/her heart to know what is going to work for him/her. You don't look too much at hurdle ahead before you cross it. If you do, fear will paralyse you before you even undertake jumping the hurdle. Don't discourage people, let them try their luck. Its part of life journey.

Please don't misconstrue me; I'm not putting this up, to diss you all! I have been doing a lot of thinking about this fcsc jobs and even the past Government vacancies we have filled in the past and recent times!

How many vacant positions are we all struggling for?

The Fcsc vacant positions of each level, in the advertised departments are just 1. i.e.....each advertised level has just one vacant position in all the advertised departments.

Check out the number of applicants on Nairaland alone!

We all know that there will surely be slots for top government officials in presidency, Senate, and house of Reps, and even some other high ranked civil servants in fcsc and other MDA's

Now, how many positions are left for ordinary Nigerians?

Why do we keep trying lucks in lucid scenarios of the "almost impossible"?

Same thing applies even in USA NIV application.........wasting huge sums on visa fees and hoping on getting visas that are "almost impossible"

This is GAMBLING!!!

My brothers and sisters, these times we use to fill forms, wail, complain and engage in sleepless nights over website built on mediocrity, should be channeled into more meaningful things.........like thinking of very good business ideas, solving problems, developing minds, learning a skill both offline and online, etc!
I am not exempting myself, because I am also guilty!

I was shocked when I woke up one morning to realise what my neighbour was doing for a living! FARMING!!!

He told me he used to sell rat poison.....going from door to door, from one neighborhood to another. Then he saved up some cool cash, got some from a micro-finance bank and then bought a small land for farming.

Today, he has close to 15 employees(few graduates included)!

We can't all be farmers, yes I know, but we can think of other businesses to do, no matter how small, instead of hoping on Government jobs that are almost impossible!!

Some of us filled the NSITF forms, immigration forms and the fcsc forms online during Jonathan's tenure, and we never got any appointment letter, not even interview texts or mails. Some even lost their lives in the process.

Now, it's PMB's tenure, we have filled the Police, npower, NPA, and fcsc(still filling) forms, and we are still hoping, praying and expecting miracles!!!

Isn't it glaring that we are all deceiving ourselves and wasting our time?

Isn't it high time we shoved this charade and move on?




#Dont wait in vain, on what the Government will do.........do something to help yourself and those around you, so as to render the government useless!!

You are very right, the leaders who have turned government office as their family enclave are deceiving the ordinary Nigerians as we are all called. Their families have been used to fill all the vacancies, only to put up fake advert and say it was advertised and they will say Nigerian graduates are not employable. They will tell us to vote them-in becos it is our Right to vote, we should stop voting becos we don't have any right as long as Nigerian leaders are concerned. May our leaders and those they are stealling and hoarding monies and jobs for, that are mean't for all Nigerians will go into Pains that all the Money and jobs they have stolen will not Save them. I strongly believe your opinion however the reason I keep searching for jobs is to enable me self-fund my future business. I don't want a situation whereby I borrow or collect a loan and can't meet up with payment. You must be a programmer to be able develop web bots and to develop bot you must have a perfect understanding of socket programming, httpwebrequest protocols, analysing packets that are submitted to the webserver and and any other programme of your interest e.g. python, c#, vb etc

It will take alot of your time being a beginner in bot development except you have a background in any programming language. You will have to become a premium member of tutsplus or lynda to have a basic idea of how web bots works by watching their premium videos, Honestly you will make alot of Google search to fix bugs and dealing with exceptions especially if you develop bots with c#.

You will have to practice and read on your own in other to become a good bot developer as every bot will require a different approach in automating a specific task.

Bot development is a very lucrative skill already earn 1600 bucks from a south Korean guy that was refferred to me by one of my clients on Sunday.
I developed a daily motion uploader that auto logs the url of uploaded videos in a text file, auto creates accounts and also auto uploads videos to dailymotion for the south Korean guy and he paid an upfront of 30% then another 30% and the remaining 40% was paid when I delivered bot to him. Also I will be paid 200 bucks for maintaining the bot every month.
