The National Assembly has passed a motion to invite President Muhammadu Buhari to address the legislature on efforts being made by his administration to on the current economic recession.

The Senate passed the motion on Thursday in concurrence with the House of Representatives.

This is a very interesting development as the National assembly had never summoned an incumbent president since the return to democratic governance in 1999. It will be nice to see the president honor the invitation and explain in details what his government is doing to get us out of the current recession. This is a democratic administration and no public office holder should be too big to come and explain to the representatives of the people when the need arises.

Both Buhari and his El-Clueless Minister of Finance and his archaic CBN Governor should at least appear before the senate and explain to them how 4th fastest growing Economy in the world and Largest Economy in Africa collapsed in 1yr.

In developed societies the President is the one that requests audience with the National Assembly to explain to the citizenry his plans in a time like this. Waiting and watching. But honestly I wish he honours the invitation to shame his critics.

Which Buhari are they inviting? Is it the dog called Buhari or dullardeen Buhari frm Daura? If it's the Daura President, he has nothing to offer.
