Winner of the just concluded Edo state gubernatorial elections, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shuaibu have been presented with certificates of return today by the Independent national electoral commission in Benin.

Dr Mustafa Muhammed, INEC National Commissioner in-charge of South-South zone,who personally presented the certificates to the governor-elect and his deputy, promised that INEC would improve the electoral system in conduct of future elections.

Obaseki, in a brief remark, thanked the people of Edo state for their support before and after the elections, promising to put their interests before his.

Congratulation the people's governor. Remember you're not voted to loot Edo State treasury. Remember 4 years is like 4 seconds, work hard so you won't have to run from pillar to pole for your re-election. God Almighty will grant you the wisdom and understanding to move Edo State to greater height.
