Legendary Cameroonian international, Rigobert Song has passed away just a week after he suffered a cerebral aneurysm and was admitted to the hospital.

The 40-year-old center back played in eight African Nation Cup tournaments and enjoyed success with teams like Liverpool and West Ham. His death comes just three days after his family confirmed he was no longer in critical condition and had just come out of a coma.

I just wonder too because the last I knew was that he was flown to France by the cameroonian government and the pictures were out.

So this sort of news without international media reporting it is not credible.

Having Come out of coma, Liverpool football club and her sporting legends all sent him good will messages as he heads to France (for extensive medical care) and would have by now be spending condolences if it were true. Of course, coming out of coma doesn't mean he will pull through, though that is what we hope for but I lost my only sister at 37 in a similar situation.

Actually, by the time you probably think it's getting better, it can relapse which is usually costly. So if this is true, sporting media will spread the news like crazy, so OP please don't be quick to spread news like this. Be guided!
