might as well do a plasma discussion here what is plasma ? plasma is plasma what can plasma stealth do for a aircraft ? 1.Plasma surrounding an aircraft will absorb the incoming signal, and therefore prevent any reflection from the metal parts of the aircraft. This occurs when incident EM waves encounters the charged particles of the plasma field causing the wave's energy to be transferred to the charged particles, thus no reflection back to the radar source.and voila the aircraft would be invisible to radar.2.plasma can also be used to fu*k up the reflected waves to confuse the enemies radar systems. Plasma can disturb the incident EM waves to the point of transforming them to differing frequencies scattered all across the RF spectrum. 3.also EM waves tend to bend around the plasma field thus passing around the aircraft. the ability to control plasma properties dynamically will be the ACE in the hole for a successful functioning plasma stealth device. the ability to dynamically adjust the plasma density, temperature or composition, or the magnetic field, will allow it to defeat different types of radar and anti stealth systems. downsides of plasma 1.the plasma itself emits EM radiation. 2.it takes some time for plasma to be re-absorbed by the atmosphere and a trail of ionized air is created behind the moving aircraft. 3.plasma likes to emit a visible glow detectable by optical sources. 4.difficult to maintain plasma field around a fast moving jet. 5.constrained by limited power source aboard aircrafts. 6.knifes r dangerous things, u can stab others with it and also end up getting stabbed with it my point being wouldn't the plasma interfere with the aircraft itself be it the control surface or the electronics and the radar.etc etc. |

INS Astradharini is an indigenously designed twin hull catamaran vessel built by Shoft Shipyard Pvt. Ltd. with collaborative effort of Naval Science and Technological Laboratory and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The ship is utilized for technical trials of underwater weapons and systems. The successful operation of the ship for the past one year adds thrust to the country's ongoing endeavor at indigenisation and achieving India's goal of self-reliance in under water weapons development.

The EL/W-2085 was developed from the single-band EL/M-2075 system. Instead of using a rotodome, a moving radar found on some AEW&C aircraft, the EL/W-2085 uses the active electronically scanned array (AESA), an active phased array radar. This radar consists of an array of transmit/receive (T/R) modules that allow a beam to be electronically steered, making a physically rotating rotodome unnecessary. AESA radars operate on a pseudorandom set of frequencies and also have very short scanning rates, which makes them difficult to detect and jam. Up to 100 targets can be tracked simultaneously to a range of 200 nmi (370 km), while at the same time, over a dozen air-to-air interceptions or air-to-ground attacks can be guided. The radar can be mounted on the side of the aircraft's fuselage or on the top inside a small dome. Either position gives the radar 360-degree coverage. The phased array allows positions of aircraft on operator screens to be updated every 2–4 seconds, rather than every 20–40 seconds as is the case on the rotodome AWACS. The IAI EL/W-2090 is an airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) radar system developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Elta Electronics Industries of Israel. Its primary objective is to provide intelligence to maintain air superiority and conduct surveillance. It is a development of the EL/M-2075 system, described by the Federation of American Scientists as the most advanced AEW&C system in the world, in 1999 and 2008 articles. The EL/W-2090 is a further development of EL/M-2075 and EL/W-2085. The EL/W-2090 uses the active electronically scanned array (AESA), an active phased array radar. This radar consists of an array transmit/receive (T/R) modules that allow a beam to be electronically steered, making a physically rotating rotodome unnecessary. AESA radars operate on a pseudorandom set of frequencies and also have very short scanning rates, which makes them difficult to detect and jam. The system is currently in-service with the Indian Air Force.

The EL/M-2052 is an advanced airborne active electronically scanned array fire control radar for fighter aircraft. It is suitable for F-15, MiG-29, Mirage 2000 and LCA Tejas. The EL/M-2052 is an advanced Airborne Fire Control Radar (FCR) designed for air superiority and advanced strike missions. The FCR is based on fully solid-state active phased array technology. This new technology enables the radar to achieve a longer detection range, high mission reliability and a multi-target tracking capability of up to 64 targets. The EL/M-2052 radar incorporates operational feedback from Israeli Air Force combat pilots. The radar introduces improvements to the air-to-air, air-to-ground and air-to-sea operation modes of the aircraft. In the air-to-air mode, the radar enables a very long-range multi-target detection and enables several simultaneous weapon deliveries in combat engagements In air-to-ground missions, the radar provides very high resolution mapping (SAR), surface moving target detection and tracking over RBM, DBS and SAR maps in addition to A/G ranging. In Air-to-Sea missions the radar provides long-range target detection and tracking, including target classification capabilities (RS, ISAR). Elta had signed a deal with HAL to develop ELM-2052 AESA radar for LCA and Jaguar. They will also work with HAL to integrate Astra and Meteor A2A missile. the ELM-2052 AESA radar will be fitted with Indian subsystems including processors etc. the 4th picture is the uttam AESA radar under development

chinese8107:its being said that they can only deploy one air craft carrier and due to the shortage of ships .those carriers when deployed it carrier strike group will lack some ships, also due to the minimal number of F-35 that will be acquired by Britain.those aircraft carrier wont be able to have the full package of F-35 on board. |

africaken254:who said that? It does not matter if they don't have enough ship, adding 1 or 2 frigate or destroyer in fleet is not hard for UK. because argentin@ is even poorer. britain may not want to buy F-35,not nececery.their current 4 gen plane is enough to deal with it.or simply a small number of F-35 plus some 4 gen plane, however US may want to ask UK to buy more F-35s. |

chinese8107:who told you that by the snap of a their fingers they can add another warship or simply don't want to buy F-35's .i talking here of a carrier that can't deploy on board a whole package of F-35 due to numbers that are going to be procured, not how many land based aircraft they have.do you understand what i am say ? |

africaken254:F-35 is over priced for UK. and not many US ally want to buy including Canada .Why does UK have to buy a whole package? Their budget is really limited according to some report ,but they can buy some helicopters and refabish some AV-8 or modify EF2000 typhoon or even rafale . Europe want to produce their own next gen fighter rather than buy American's

africaken254:air bag is standard equipted for most cars except some trucks or tractors in China.. ESC is optional, However if the customer in a paticular contry don't ask for or the law is not strictly enforced to have,it may not have,I don't know about South Africa law but some asian countries don't have such restriction.country like myanmar even handmade vheicles can be allowed driven on road some WWII vheicles is stil in serves without air bag & ESC . it's just simply a business strategy for car maker allowing customer to have options.if a customer don't drive in highway or snow or muddy road,ESC may not be a must.the same as air bag,if the customer dare to drive a 2nd or 3rd hand assembling car he may not ask for an air bag pic: this kind of WWII JEEP is still avilable for sale in many countries.
