How can you score 96% pass rate at NECO exams and less than 50% at WAEC?

Is NECO so inferior?
Must you exhibit hatred for Fayose ..The growth percentage is clear for both NECO and WAEC. The fountain of knowledge is doing well under Fayose.

Do you prefer a governor that punishes citizens with dustbin huh

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, Tuesday declared that his administration’s Six-Point Agenda focusing on empowerment, development of agriculture, infrastructural development, education, science and technology, health and security has been faithfully implemented.

How do we develop in a nation where our political class assume they are doing the masses a favour for their little or no achievement.

Why pride himself on nothing?

I asked a simple question about the disparity in pass rate between 2 exams for school leavers.

Are you bereft of an analytical mind?

In chemistry, there's what is called "trace amount", ie, when the quantity of a substance in a sample is so small it is negligible. Some of you guys have trace amounts of joy in you!! gringringringrin

If Fayose sees this comment, he'd really be disturbed as to how much his aides have been lying to him. cheesy

Fayose has analysed it for you ..

These crystalised in the progressive performance chart of students in public examinations from 29th position with an average 58 percent in 2014 to 18th position with an average 74.5 percent in 2015 and now to the enviable position of first in 2016 with a percentage score of 96.48 percent for the first time in the history of NECO. “Performance in the West African School Certificate Examinations also gives reason to cheer from 25 percent in 2014, to 37 percent in 2015 and now 42 percent in 2016. While for the School of Nursing, it has been a consistent 98 percent pass in 2015 and 2016.

Why is there such a great disparity in pass rates between 2 examinations conducted for school leavers?

Is one much easier than the other?
Is the marking done wrongly or rightly in one than the other?

Are enrolments in one for a certain class of students as against the other?

Are there specific subjects taken in one and missed out on the other?

Analysis man, analysis.

Oh my my .. WAEC has been around many years before the introduction of NECO and their state statistics over the years cannot rank with NECO.

Though they can both used for admission purposes, WAEC is more standard than NECO though.

Fayose is bringing out the CONSISTENT growth percentage of Ekiti state as it concerns NECO and WAEC.

If they maintain their first position in NECO next year, shouldn't mean they will still take first in WAEC.

Brother what is the bone of contention here? is it that the students are not faring better under Fayose? or is it that the statistical data is not good enough for you?..do you expect them to fare the same in WAEC and NECO? two bodies with different questions and marking schemes?
What do u really want come out plain cus checking the disparity in performance is quite funny to me why go there?

Why not go there?

Whatever the underlying reason it would help parents and guardians make informed decisions when their wards are up for exams.

If you think outside the box, you did understand. An individual (student)progress isn't an achievement in a state or region (SW) what percentage do we call that.

Re: My Government Already Fulfilled Six-point Agenda – Fayose by Nobody:
There are still many untapped potentials in Ekiti.
Igbemo Rice, for instance, has not rivaled Ofada rice. Rice cultivation could be taken to highly commercial level in Ekiti. The land is there. The unemployed youths are all over the streets. Ekiti state can make fortune from agriculture if the youths are empowered.
This is one of the areas the governor should look at if we must tackle joblessness cum hunger in Ekiti State.

ALARMING EMERGENCY !
PLEAESE, ALL THE MODS AND MY GOOD PEOPLE ON AWESOME NAIRALAND,TAKE TIME TO READ,CONFIRM AND SPREAD. LET OUR ATTENTION BE DRAWN TO THE THIS ROT AND EXTORTION GOING ON IN LAGOS STATE HEALTH SECTOR,GENERAL HOSPITALS ( IGANDO, AGEGE GENERAL HOSPITALS TO BE EXACT). I AM SURE OUR WONDERFUL GOVERNOR IS NOT AWARE OF THIS HYDRA- HEADED MONSTERS REPRESENTED BY NURSES AND DOCTORS IN GENERAL HOSPITALS IN LAGOS.
OUR PREGNANT MOTHERS’ LIVES ARE IN DANGER O ! I HEARD A HEART-BREAKING STORY FROM A PREGNANT WOMAN WHO ATTENDED ANTE-NATAL CARE YESTERDAY IN ONE OF THOSE HEALTH CENTRES IN LAGOS. DELIVERY PACK THAT IS PROVIDED FREELY FOR THEM BY THE GOVERNMENT IS NOW BEING SOLD TO THEM IN GENERAL HOSPITALS AT N8,500. COCONUT OIL AND PAD AT N2000 WHICH IS COLLECTED FROM THEM ON THE DAY OF THEIR H.I.V TEST. IT MUST BE PAID BEFORE THEY EVEN LOOK AT YOU OR ATTEND TO YOU. DELIVERY CHARGE WHICH WAS N32,000 HAS NOW BEEN INCREASED TO N45,000 IN THE SPACE OF 14 DAYS (2 WEEKS) ,WHICH THEY NEVER SAW COMING. IT BECAME A HUGE RUDE SHOCK TO THEM YESTERDAY. THESE FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE DELIVERY !!!! IN THE CASE OF CS, IT WAS N45,000 TO N90,000!!!!!! ALL WITHIN 2 WEEKS !!!!! MANY OF THEM HAD TO LEAVE IN TEARS NEVER TO RETURN AS THEY DON’T HAVE HOPE OF RAISING THAT MONEY FROM ANYWHERE;LEAVING BEHING BLOOD DONATION WHICH THEY ALL MADE BEFORE ANTE-NATAL. THIS BLLOOD DONATION HAD TO BE MADE BY THEIR HUSBANDS !!!!!! MY PEOPLE, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE ? THIS COUNTRY IS HARD. IN A DAY, NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT ASK ME FOR ALMS ON MY WAY TO AND FROM WORK INCREASES. THE OTHER DAY, MY YOUNGER BROTHER WHO CAME VISITING FROM THE AIRPORT TO MY HOUSE WAS ACCOSTED BY FOUR PERSONS ASKING FOR ALMS. THE ONE THAT GOT HIM CLOSE TO TEARS WAS A CASE OF A MAN WHO ASKED HIM FOR DIAPERS FOR HIS CHILD. HE SAID THAT HE DOESN’T NEED ANY CASH BUT PAMPERS AS IT IS CALLED. WE UNDERSTAND THAT EVEN THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT FINDING IT EASY BUT THEY SHOULD TAKE IT EASY IF THEY ARE THE ONES BEHIND THIS UNTOLD HARDSHIP AND EXTORTION ON PREGNANT MOTHERS IN LAGOS. PLEASE, MY MERCIFUL GOV. AMBODE, LOOK INTO THIS. LETS SPREAD THIS UNTIL THIS WOMEN’S HOPE AND CHANCES OF SAFE DELIVERY IS RESTORED.
THANK YOU, NAIRALAND FAMILY.

He has done well in security, the first governor to sign the ban on grazing into law...when his people were attacked he did not cry and declare fasting like some governors, he empowered his people to go fire for fire
for infrastructure he listed it there, a fly over sef is being constructed, economic policies doesnt work in vacuum bro it has to conform with Nigeria's macro economic outlook, remember he can only do so much as a state governor
Note i am not campaigning for fayose the elections are over, but i dont think he is the wort governor or the best..i only love his courage, tenacity and fortitude...not many people can dare buhari and survive...it i obvious that buhari and his supporters dont like dissenting opinions, every dissenting opinion is quickly labeled IPOD or wailer...Opposition is good for democracy no matter how little and right now Fayose is the only oppositio; FFK just came out from sanko so i wont count him in yet
