This is bad.

While we were busy looking at Rivers and Ekiti,Akwa Ibom was busy killing the Judiciary with bribes very quietly.

Since it has been established that Akwa Ibom bought the Judiciary, then the case(s) should be revisited again.

Justice will get it right this time.
Like boooooohari didn't bribe to get his fake WAEC issue defended and thrown out by Falana and the other crooked SANs. You lot should remove the dark smoke hovering around you before talking about the speck in someone else's eyes. Your hypocrisy is staggering

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed met with president Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa on Sunday night by 11pm, a Source has told LeadersNG.

It was revealed that the main reason why the CJN met with the president was the arrest of two Justices of the Supreme Court by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over allegations of corruption.

We were told that a furious Justice Mohammed wanted to know why the president sanctioned the abduction of two justices of the Supreme Court in the middle of the night from their homes. It was also learnt that the CJN confronted the president about the motive of the arrest since he had earlier reported to the president about an attempt to bribe the two arrested Justices by one of his ministers, Rotimi Amaechi sometimes in January, 2016.

According to the source, sometime in January, 2016, the Minister of Aviation, Rotimi Amaechi in the company of a serving Director of the DSS had approached the two arrested Justices of the Supreme Court – Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and John Okoro at the home of Justice Ngwuta at the Judges’ Quarters in Abuja to help compromise the Election Tribunal Judgement before his Lordships. They brought the sum of $2million dollars to achieve this. After speaking with both Justices for over an hour on the matter, they called the de-factor president and childhood friend of the president, Alhaji Mamman Daura on the phone who pleaded with the Justices to help as Mr. Amaechi was representing the president on the matter.

It was also revealed that after going back and forth on the matter, the Justices refused to collect the money and later reported the matter to the CJN. The source further stated that the Chief Justice of the Federation that same week reported the matter to the president. Although we learned that president Buhari denied ever instructing Mr. Amaechi to approach any of the Justices and assured the CJN of an investigation into the matter, no investigation was ever carried out to the knowledge of the CJN.

The CJN was heard to have told the president in a very frank manner that all Justices of the Supreme Court know why Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and John Okoro were arrested and that they believe the president wants to undermine the judiciary.

The source also added that president Buhari was on the defensive throughout the meeting claiming he was not properly briefed by the DSS and that he didn’t know the identities of the Justices involved. The president promised the CJN that the Justices will be released by the DSS.

The National Judicial Council is currently meeting now on the matter.

You will recall that on Saturday, the DSS in what it called a “sting operation” in five states across the country, arrested seven judges, including two Justices of the Supreme Court, and five judges of the Federal High Court.

My perspective is that, APC political tacticians looking for all ways to ensure they shrink anything called PDP in order to have full confidence in 2019 general election.

check
*all arrested judges were those who has worked or working or favoured PDP mandate in one way or another*

fact
Judges who wrkd or working or favoured Sen.Bola Tinubu and Mr. Babatude Raji Fashola 2003, 2007 2011 elections in Lagos State didn't collect bribehuh Are they all innocenthuh

The judges restored their mandate and get paid/compensated.

Now, APC govt claiming they are fighting corruption only to arrest opposition lawyers

DSS, EFCC, ICPC and other anti graft agency shld as well arrest Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Edo etc Justices/judges too.

Let's stop deceiving the masses.

I don't need to argue with a programmed robot...the state of the nation is enough to tell anyone who's more ineffectual. GEJ isn't afraid of anyone, he can stay wherever he pleases. I guess you were one of those people who said he would seek asylum after office. He's there, right in your faces with his wife, do their worst. Oh..I even forgot you're trying to already

I think is surprising to see people here celebrating impunity of the highest order in a supposed democratic regime, there's no doubt that Nigerian judges are very corrupt, but can the president be bold enough to arrest the judges that has spoken in his favour? This is purely an act to intimidate other judges to work on his favour, even the roothless military junta of Sani Abacha and IBB never acted like this; but today the claimed educated in Nigeria are celebrating every nasty moves made by this stark illiterate, that is to show the level of education they operated in Nigeria, this nonsense can't even happen in Zimbabwe or Somalia.

Gbam!

He won't do it. I told my neighbor yesterday that, ultimately it is difficult for anyone to prove that the judges are not corrupt but Everybody knows there's an underlying motive for their arrest however unknown it is, not that buhari is fighting corruption.

The current CJN is bowing out next month and the most senior Supreme Court judge who is next in line was among the alleged. Whether he's found guilty or not he has been strategically disqualified.

Its not a coincidence that he would have been the only Southerner since 1987 that will be CJN.

There are many more corrupt judges, but they will never be on DSS list so long their on the Saint side..doing their bidding.

i won't join issues with you since you are a programmed wailer based on ur rantings about d economy and ur foaming in GEJ's defense. i really hate to dissappoint you,but i am neither a wailer or a zombie! i state facts as they are. an international publication called him intellectual buffon even when they would have been certain things he did well. take your fight to them to prove why he is not. PMB and APC are making certain foolish mistakes too like the party and person that was there before. you know why? there are thesame. all politicians are thesame. we know PMB would want to keep projecting the image of mr right, but if nobody eats yam, won't it be difficult for him to claim the only saint? lets stop d support of persons and objectively take up issues one after the other one by one. i have worked with GEJ from his days as governor with one of his closest SAs. my dad has worked very closely with PMB, ABACHA and DIYA during the uniform era. so i am likely to know these people characters more than the zombie-wailer club and partisan freaks group you belong. i can clearly tell you that both are victims of corrupt political systems that brought them to power and that they must please. PMB is luckier just because of his military background. back to my point. a proverb says even a bad child has his own usefulness. canvwe agree that PMB with his dictatorial nature is somehow useful? sometimes i pity us, no thanks to you zombie-wailers club, because you will not believe their cordiality and union of these ellites in secret. wake up people, they divide us to be able to rule us. did you see what happened in turkey? was it because their president is a saint? does that mean they will not protest tomorrow against him? Between May 29, 2007 to May 29, 2015 when Akpabio was on the saddle as the governor of Akwa Ibom State, the slogan was: “What money cannot do More money can do". He continued stylishly with the slogan and has since then been working well.

The Real Issue: Considering all that we read on print and media everyday, is enough for one to denounce Nigeria as a country if only there was any. A country where we don't know what tentatively is happening. I've forced myself on several occasions to at least understand what's going in Nigeria presently but difficult to fathom the whole scenario.

The ocean has released fraternity, political cabals and even groups of odd people with camatose into Nigeria twisted constitution.
We don't know what to hold onto anymore, even the gullible are confused.

{On my bruised kneels}
God! If there's anyway we(Nigerians) have sinned against you as a country, ethnic group, religion or individual, please have pity on us cause our sufferings have become too unbearable even to the birds.
sshhhhh!!! Sshhhhh!!! Chai'!! No dey open our Yansh like this na!! Buts it's still true! What money cannot do, too much money will' #boss
