We have 4 mobile carriers currently in Nigeria with the 4g network namely NTEL, MTN, ETISALAT, and GLO, hopefully in the future AIRTEL should be joining them soon.  Here are the list of the mobile carriers with their 4g LTE bands in case you want to know if your mobile smartphone supports it or you want to get a new phone.  MTN 4G LTE- Supports Band 20 (800MHz) and Band 7 (2600MHz) GLO 4G LTE- Only supports Band 28 (700MHz) ETISALAT 4G LTE- Only supports Band 3 (1800MHz) NTEL 4G LTE- Supports Band 8 (900MHz) and band 3 (1800MHz) Now to check if your mediatek phone supports this bands procedures are as follows: - Download MTK ENGINEERING MODE from [url]play.google.com/store[/url]. - Install the App - Open the App - Go to MTK settings - Tap On BandMode - Select your sim - You will see a list of BandMode, from Gsm to Lte. - For GLO LTE try tick on Band 28 check box, if you cannot tick on it then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)  - For MTN LTE try tick on Band 20 and Band 7 check box, if it doesn't tick then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)  - For ETISALAT LTE try tick on Band 3 check box, if it doesn't tick then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)  - For NTEL LTE try tick on Band 8 and Band 3 check box, if it doesn't tick, GOBE for you be that o.  For those of yours who ain't using an MTK smartphone, I would advice you surf the web thoroughly with phones with this frequencies before advancing for a phone. See you guys leta on your HUNT SEARCH.
