The Former Minister of Defence (State) Musiliu Obanikoro’s has surrendered himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) this afternoon. An EFCC source tells Metronaija that the former minister arrived at their office around 2pm this afternoon in the company of his lawyers and some family relatives.

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is being investigated by the EFCC for allegedly giving the Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose the sum of N4.7billion for the June 21, 2014 governorship election on the instruction of former president Goodluck Jonathan.


The source said EFCC Investigators will confront Obanikoro with evidence and take his statement today.
