Pchikaodili:
Nigeria's problem is not prayer. We are the most prayerful nation on earth.
What we need is intelligent action.
Truly intelligent action that goes beyond simply accumulating knowledge and speaking useless vocabulary that excites only like Obahiagbon does.

Our true problem is prayers.
Re: Nigeria's Problem Is Not Prayer - Ben Murray-Bruce by pring: 9:12am On Oct 22, 2016
Governors will not pay salaries, instead of workers to organize a protest or even take lagal action, u will see them organizing prayers.
That is the height of stupidity in Nigeria.

Common sense talk.
But will we listen huh
Your post shows just how dimwitted you are.
I dear say you do not possess the intellectual prowess to read or the cognitive depth required to comprehend what you read.
Everyone thinks atheism is the new word for intelligence, so now even individuals with a sub-average intellectual function, who hardly or never introspect see this ridiculous bandwagon as a means of escaping the harsh reality of being intellectually inferior to most.
The senator was clearly stating facts, and you just somehow saw it as an opportunity to spew insolent vile garbage assertions about religion from who knows where, because I am absolutely certain you did not consult your dormant brain before posting.

I agree with this image but something is missing because children do not acquire religious indoctrination of their own choosing.

They have it forced upon them by their parents/elders. It is they who are the problem.

NIGERIA Needs SERIOUS PRAYER SO OUR LEADERS BRAINS CAN BE NORMAL
WHEN WE WERE SERIOUSLY PRAYING FOR NIGERIA, OUR LEADERS AND INSTITUTIONS WERE STEALING OUR MONEY ALLEVIATING OUR INFRASTRUCTURES, RIGGING ELECTIONS IN THEIR FAVOUR THROUGH VIOLENCE AND DECElVING US ANYHOW.
STILL THEY ARE GOING TO THE PASTORS FOR MORE ANOINTING AND DANCING SHOKY AT OWAMBE PARTIES.
MANY OF US HAVE ARE IN THE HABIT OF UPPING OUR PRAYERS THAT THEY MUST DIE THIS YEAR AND THEY ARE WAITING

Trial? We've been praying praying praying for many many years till date and no result so it's time to be wise and take action instead of relying on prayer.....if we continue to depend on prayer, this nation will definitely fall in the nearest future undecided

Most Nigerian learders are empty n silly.
Have u ever heard Obama, Putin, Markel and other world learders open their mouth to say Prayer is the solution to their National or Economic issues or Ever read Japan, China, India used prayers for their Economic development?
Its only in Nigeria Government and pastors join together to feast on the poor masses in d name of prayers.
Its funny when u go to our markets, offices, busses etc. U see people praying.
Even on Nairaland u see people singing ''God answer my call ohh'' While u sat at home pressing phone no Action
We dont need prayers to succeed, we only need to work hard
Most Nigerians are deluded
Fools.

Its sad when any disaster happens in Nigeria for example I was on a night bus sometime ago and 30 minutes into the journey, the driver complained that the fan belt of the engine keep disuntegrating.

Every ten minutes the driver stops to adjust the fan belt in the middle on nowhere at 12am midnight. The only solution most fellow passengers could think of is to keep shouting and speaking in tongues "What is wrong with Africans".

Not more than one person including me out of 50 persons suggested a proactive approach to the problem like asking the driver to call his bosses for a sound bus, finding the nearest police station to park for safety or looking for a nearby mechanic to sort the problem.

All they could think of was to speak in tongues, I weep for Nigeria.

The mentality of most Nigerians is next to a monkey.

Do I believe in prayers? Yes I do.
Is it the only solution to a problem? No its not, it needs to be backed up with creative thinking and firm action.

Nigerians make prayer seem like a joke, when Americans say God bless America, they do so because they have done everyother aspects of the task and God is asked to oversee all that has been done.

Given that you do not understand the difference between DARE and dear, I guess it is obvious that you do not have the intellectual capacity to see that being opposed to our widespread LAZY mentality of praying ONLY for God to pick up our calls and solve our problems without our lifting a finger is not the same as being an atheist.

LMAO, I take it you have never heard about a typo then.
Your weak attempt at a comeback, simply dug your figurative hole even deeper.
What in the world do you mean by this ? : "without our lifting a finger"
Stick to writing modern English, medieval style English are for those who actually know how do speak and write proper English.

the people in pentecostal churches will tell you that the solution to the Nigerian problem is SOWING SEED IN THEIR CHURCHES eg living faith, chrisy embassy, rccg, COZA and etc.when pastors are buying suvs, private jets etc, then the economy is fast developing

You can see for yourself that prayer is a foolish, pointless practice yet still engage in said practice?

What does that tell us about you?

Are you not equally culpable in all of the mess that you can see as a result of the Nigerian obsession with the 'supernatural'?

We are the most prayerfull nation on earth, and we are known allover the world, as the bedrock of nationwide corruption, scamming and fraudulent activities.
our society is decayed in all ramifications and yet we are one of the most religious country in the world, does that even make sense?

Well said sir. Sometimes I'm amazed by the comments I see on this forum. People just criticize for the fun of it.
How can a state be sponsoring pilgrimage, yet they complain of funds to pay workers. This is one of the many things are leaders spend money on just to loot.
The most annoying thing is that government provide and reduce the exchange rate for the purpose of pilgrimage, while the manufacturing sector that benefit the economy is finding it difficult to get forex.

Now somebody is talking.

We are in recession but the government is paying for the vacation of lazy citizens in the name of praying for the nation.

Religion is the greatest scam in the history of mankind.

Abegi tell them o.. I keep saying it over and over again. If the amount of time we spend in tarry nights, crusades, church programs can be converted into creative action, Nigeria will never be in this recession. Yet you still see people locking themselves in a warehouse overnight in the name of tarry night, praying for God to come down from heaven with a Ghana must go bag to pack up Nigeria's recession and take am to where nah?. They still get back home only to be confronted by the same issue.

How can a sinful nation pray and God will hear?

Jesus stated it clearly:

REPENT_

After that,

The bible is clear on attitude to wealth:
2 Timothy 2
5 And if a man(a nation) also strive for MASTERIES, yet is he(it) not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The HUSBANDMAN that LABOURETH must be first partaker of the fruits.

What God does is to turn on the genes of excellence(which are limited in the sinner)
But you must fully express them after you're born again.

Every human, in every part of the world has in them the tendency to be idle/lazy.
Laziness is sin. Adam had work to do in Eden.
The Bible says an idle father is an infidel. It condemns indolence in several passages.

Second,
The government must create an enabling environment for the full expression of our potentials.

It's factual that potentials can be hampered if they're not enabled in a habitat.
Our leaders must really love us from their hearts without nepotism and all manner of cruelty!

See how the three - God, the leader and the righteous roll-

Daniel 1
9 Now God had brought Daniel into FAVOUR and TENDER LOVE with the PRINCE of the eunuchs.
17 As for these four children, GOD GAVE THEM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL IN ALL LEARNING AND WISDOM: AND DANIEL HAD UNDERSTANDING IN ALL VISIONS AND DREAMS.
20 AND IN ALL MATTERS OF WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, that the king inquired of them, he found them TEN TIMES BETTER THAN ALL THE MAGICIANS AND ASTROLOGERS THAT WERE IN ALL HIS REALM.
