Oil multinationals must give Niger Delta a minimum of 30% representative in managerial cadre. Then from level 18 downwards we need a minimum of 50% as work force. International Oil Companies are just using Niger Deltans as slaves. Yes, a slave is anybody that can't say a word about his salary because if he does, he will be sacked. Casualisation of Niger Deltans must stop. We do the same job but only Yorubas, Igbos and Hausas are staffers in Oil Multinationals. Some of our brothers have been casuals for over 5yrs in Oil Multinationals

you can't give what you don't have they should study more to make themselves better qualified. Why is shell petroleum's headquarters located in Lagos, why does Total and Chevron and the seven sisters have such luxurious offices and residential complexes in Lagos not the Niger Delta? The social illiteracy in the region is very high,that is why they take pride in destroying national infrastructures whilst the real problems lie with the governor's of the states of that region who have stolen and mismanaged the wealth of their respective states since the states were created without applying critical thinking approach to wealth creation and no state of the art scientific infrastructures to show for their tenures even after an extra 13% of the national cake(funds) was allocated to them e.g. James ibori,peter odili,goodluck jonathan,rotimi amaechi,alams,uduaghan,lucky igbinedion all pdp stalwarts. 5. The president's failure to allow the naira find its level in the market for over 1 year. Do you have any idea how much this hurt our economy especially as it encouraged round tripping in the forex market. This alone made the value of the Naira sink to abysmal levels and this is another major factor.

Russia doesn't. Neither does Azerbaijan or Saudi Arabia.

These countries were badly hit also by the fall in oil prices and some of them are even in worse shape than Nigeria.

The same falling oil prices is affecting world economic growth and may even cause a global recession if not handled properly.

In world history, this is the first time that low oil prices have threatened the global economy.

Militants or not, Nigeria would have gone into recession, more especially as we have a dunderhead who thinks he knows it all as president.

Inconsistency in fiscal, monetary and other policies which caused avoidable capital flight is another key issue peculiar to Nigeria's case.
