No body is trying to strangle IMSUTH is a state health institution while FMC Owerri is a Federal Institution. The equipments and cost of treatment in both hospitals you cannot compare, besides do you expect somebody from other parts of Imo State to leave FMC Owerri that is central and cheaper to drive down to Orlu where IMSUTH is located.

IMSUTH Orlu was established before Delta, Anambra, AKwa Ibom state University Teaching Hospitals, for example.

With great bitterness and heaviness of heart I write this post. FMC Owerri has been the subject of power tussle for the past 18 months simply because of one woman; Dr.Mrs Angela Uwakwem and corruption. Here is a woman who has been on the helms of the hospital affairs for close to 11 years now. With 18 counts charge of corruption hanging on her head, she was meant to appear in court on 11th of October 2016, but it was adjourned till 15th November 2016. Suddenly, the Interim management committee were ordered to vacate the centre for her to take over. With intimidation and connivance with the commissioner of police; Taiwo Lakanu, she invaded the hospital premises with up to 400 mobile policeman on 19th of October 2016 (last week Wednesday) shooting teargas at workers. The aftermath of which claimed the lives of 7 newly born babies.

All these happening with the connivance of even the number one citizen of Imo state in the place of Rochas Okorocha. The question is, WHY ONE WOMAN AGAINST MILLIONS OF PEOPLE?? IS SHE THE ONLY MD IN NIGERIA CAPABLE OF HEADING FMC, OWERRI? WHY CANN'T WHAT HAPPENED IN EKITI STATE HAPPEN HERE (In Ekiti state their MD was changed after just a day protest even though his offences were not concretely established but here is a woman brimming with corruption she is still doing things with impunity).

Its true I don't support Rochas in anything he ventured into since I noticed that he has nothing to offer Imolites but on the issue of Dr. Mrs Angela I think the Federal Civil Service and the Head of service of the federation don't joke with issue of tenure of serving employees of the federal government and as such if they deemed it fit that Dr. Angela deserve another 4 years term according to civil service rules so be it and as such I would not support a situation where some people will just level unnecessary allegation against her just because some one is interested in that post and as such doing everything to occupy it. 1, Here's a woman that is lording over her superiors because she has connection by the virtue of her coming from Eronini family. Do you know how many consultants who are superior to her? In FMC Owerri, there are more than ten consultants who are older than her i.e Dr Amaechi, Dr Anyaeze, Dr Asodike, Dr Ihezie, Dr Azubuike, Dr Egejuru, Dr Ododo to name a few. In 2006 hired assassins brutally murdered the then immediate next in line for the post of CMD (but am not going conspiracy theory yet).

Do you know that some of those senior doctors I mentioned were the ones that interviewed her when she came for her residency? How would you feel seeing the order of seniority swept aside just like that?

2, You talked about one completing their tenure in federal civil service. Do you know that this woman has served in 2003 as interm MD? Later came on as Acting MD in 2007, she didn't allow her predecessor, in the person of Dr Ohadugha to finish his tenure which was remaining two years plus, simply because the man went for a medical treatment in India and had to stay longer cos of the amputation (he mysteriously got a leg disease). If you are talking about finishing one's tenure, then that man should come and finish his own tenure.

3, When her tenure elapsed somewhere around 2013, she went and got fake papers from the ministry of health in Abuja to continue for another four years....Actually, she was Patience Jonathan's pet, so everything was possible for her. My dear bros, I know most Imolites have been spoonfed lots of propaganda and lies via Hot FM. But what you are seeing is more than what you have heard........They can always send another person to replace her or still choose from her seniors. The Minister of Health and Imo state Governor I think has their reasons for supporting her, which I think is important we find out.

Believe you me, but it's not possible for anyone to exhaust all these woman's atrocities. Most of the politicians I know are supporting. Some things may not make sense when you hear it. But it's diabolical. Do you know the number of deaths that used to happen under her watch? Some staff on night shift used to see her severally conduct rituals in the night there at strategic locations, especially the theatre area and pre natal wards.

I am a fellow medical staff though not a doctor. But it's very very unfair that Imi state branch of NMA have been bought over. You people are now hoodwinked to see this as a battle between doctors and non doctors.....hmmmm. Yet, this woman sacked many resident doctors in 2013 when she tried to stop you people from reaching the stipulated number of sittings for your residency exams. Now, Dike the ARD president and co who earlier testified against her have now been brainwashed with different selfish opinions. Doctors were the first to start this war against her but threw in the towel because they didn't have the records and documents to back up their claims. We went this far cos our guys in accounts and audit easily brought out the documents of her dirty deals. And now just because you lot don't want it to be that non doctors succeeded in booting out your colleague, it has become a war of occupational bias. Odiegwu!

3, You said she is the best MD in Nigeria. God is watching you. You could have said that FMC Owerri is the number one in Nigeria which is very right but not that of her being the best. FMC Owerri is the most expensive in Nigeria but the staff are the lowest paid. Sometimes in late 2012 during the festive period, she didn't pay us salary on time (before the days of IPPIS), when she was addressing us in staff forum, she said that she was saving the money for us so that we wouldn't finish it before the new year. How cam you tell full fledged adults such nonsense?...but still even when we get paid, it's much lower than our counterparts elsewhere.


Hospital cards in FMC Owerri is 1000 naira.. All those projects you see her laying claims to are not even up to the original plans which are also built uniformly across the nation in other states by the federal government.

For the past 18 months she was away there was peace. Staff worked with motivation. As I am talking to you now, she connived with Abuja not to pay us December 2015 salary, we didn't complain. Infact the ministry of health represented by director for hospital services Dr Salami asked us to choose between her exit and our December salary (can you imagine that), we unilaterally chose her exit. We are still being owed 2013/2014 promotion arrears. Promotions of 2015 and 2016 have not being done but staff are still happy to work in a friendly atmosphereball in her absence. Ministry of health had series of meetings with our union excos and were told in unequivocal terms that bringing her back would amount to chaos but they insulted our trusted cos of selfish interests

The IMC (Interim Management Committee) sent to work were being sabotaged by her cronies to make it look as if things were not working. Most of the good work done by the IMC have been reversed by her in these her few days of coming back.

Who are PDP and APC to declare her guilty? I guess you don't know that all these politicians are only after their permanent interests and not permanent enmity? EFCC sued her to court over 18 count charges and she was meant to appear in court on 11th of this month before this show of shame. Her case has been adjourned till 15th of next month (november 2016)......According to civil service rules when a civil servant is being investigated, for corruption and financial impropriety, he or she must step down until proven innocent.....Quit saying she has been cleared.
