[b]What I observed for sometime touring the state, Anambra state have three major cities Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka and upcoming cities Ekwulobia, Oko, Okija, Iheala, Ogidi etc. Onitsha metropolitan comprises of Onitsha north and south, Obosi, Oba, Nkpor, Ogbaru, Okpoko, Nkwelle and Nsugbe, developments in Onitsha has spilled over to these towns, as a visitor you will think these sub towns are Onitsha but they are not, it's just developmental spillover, same with Nnewi, Awka and their neighboring towns.
Anambra state control highest numbers of markets and ingenious industries in Nigeria, FG monthly allocation to Anambra is very low and both previous and current government find it difficult to tax Anambarias to avoid disorder prejudicial to the public or castigation from her people these are major challenges state government is facing .
Anambra state it's one of the fastest developing state in Nigeria both private properties and industries, the way Igbos are erecting buildings in developing areas are scary, when you go to Onitsha, Nnewi Awka and subs same stories, I guess the state government is been over stretched by providing basic amenities from little allocation and IGR, for Anambra state government to meet up with individual developments in the state we need to invest in PPP projects , increase our oil production output, develop and utilize our gas reserve, also enlighten our people on need to be paying tax, continue to invest in agriculture, these are key areas in my opinion that will fetch Anambra state government more money to meet up with her responsibility.

The most painful thing Is that nobody will be living in most of those housed throughout the year because their owners are based in Lagos, abuja or abroad.

There are lots of those empty big buildings in awka.

You can imagine that that area was all thick bush 5-7 years ago, i believe the resources of the state is being stretched and i equally agree with your opinion

It is not true. Most of the owners were once living in 2 or 3bedroom flats somewhere in the state before they migrated to owner occupied duplex just like our below in Awka!
