Something fishy about the whole saga, with questions begging for answers:

1) Why is she being held under protective custody; are they afraid for her safety against her own ppl or that she may embarrass them by running away and trying to again re-unite with her lover Yunusa?

2) Why are we yet to hear her own version of events; instead these structured statements being released on her behalf, that appear to have been doctored to conform with the pre-judged positions adopted by her parents, the media and other interest groups - who had chosen to politicise the whole matter?

3) Why has the press seem to have completely lost its voice and not covering the facts emerging from the ongoing trial; especially those concerning veracity of the allegations of forceful marriage and conversion against her alleged abductor Yunusa?

LOL, yeye dey smell - the real truth, no matter how much they try to suppress it, must eventually come out.
I agree with you.

Nigerian media is largely owned and dominated by southern Christians and not surprisingly clearly biased went it comes to covering stories bordering on our ethno-religious divide.
The media took sides on the Ese/Yunusa issue, they practically tried and sentenced Yunusa as well as his tribe and religion without bothering to fully research the story before hand.

Words such as abduction, forceful marriage and conversion are still being used today any evidence; that is why many innocent Muslims and northerners maligned along with him for his singular crime are interested in the truth coming out from the ongoing trial - which the media (having already done its damage) seems reluctant to cover.

With regards to the Emir of Katsina, do you know that the real age of the girl is not 14 as reported but 18, do you know that it had been investigated and found that her headmaster, a Christian, indeed conspired and doctored her school record to make her age appear as 14, therefore under aged, so as to give the story a different perspective - why do you think that the issue had since suddenly dropped off the radar of our brown envelope driven media?

Protective custody is good to avoid her being abducted again like a katsina emir did and converted another under age child into a forced marriage.

And you talk of structured statements? I'll advised you first show your concern by asking why the 21 chibok girls haven't been granted interviews and the silence by the press regarding such.

Anyway it's expected of paedopiles supporting their own...yeye dey smile indeed grin

Very silly comparison with the Chibok girls (incidentally majority Christians) who have have undergone real physical and psychological trauma against young girls (though technically underaged) clearly complicit in their alleged abduction.

As for paedophiles, you really should take note of the newspapers or at least the crime section of this forum, where many of the most pathetic examples of your ppl in the south: fathers raping and impregnating own daughters, pastors etc are being reported on daily basis - yes, indeed, yeye dey smell.

Without needing to go far, just check today's frontpage - one more latest example from your backyard.

Her story is every where .....how you have not heard it is beyond comprehension.....maybe you can go to YouTube and find it on channels tv page or even nta pages ..

Next time ,use I .. You can't be speaking for we .....we are too informed to be ignorant of such happenings

My friend, can't you read?
I was quite specific on the type of media coverage: interview of Ese herself giving her own side of the story; and the ongoing trial, regarding the veracity of the charges of forceful marriage and conversion.
Now, if there are youtube or channels tv coverage of these examples pls provide the link and prove me wrong.

Next time think before you type - now who is the ignorant boy then?

Guy,what's that her own version you desperately like to hear?

That she eloped with yellow because she was in love with him.

That she converted to Islam because she saw the light.

That she never wanted to come back but was brought by force.

Mr man wake up,this girl is 14 and she deserves the best
Foundation her parents can lay for her:quality education, good upbringing, love, respect and the desire to be a solution to some of the problems in the world.

What does her future hold In the hands of your almajiris brothers ?
A mother at 14 wretched, lacks purpose,no sense of direction by the the time shed 20 she would have had 5 children without a plan to take care of them and that's even the stupid husband does no divorce her on the excuse she is too old because by then she ll be looking like an 80 year old woman as a result of poverty and starvation .

Her children will also repopulate your dwindling almajiris kingdom(thanks to GEJ who who built school that your almajiris brothers have refuse to attend)there by repopulating the pool where future terrorists will be recruited from

If you people want to marry as you claimed you love her,you will have to wait for her to graduate from university and let her decide for herself not kidnap and forcefully conversion

Thanks

Yes indeed, why not; are you afraid of the truth or don't you want to be set free from your bigotry?

Yes indeed, proudly Almajiri but then again your ignorant self doesn't even know that Almajiri is not an offensive word, it simply means a scholar/student/pupil.

Yes indeed, she was under aged and thats just it; otherwise, what respect, parenthood, and good upbringing are you talking about?

FYI, Ese comes from a broken home, the father had left and the mother, a food seller evidently didn't have much time to instil the necessary discipline and good upbringing (you were talking about) to kept her daughter, at only 14, sufficiently away from becoming addicted to the sweet embrace of a lover, to the extent of having the confidence to elope with him to the far away north.

If not because love is blind, otherwise who would want to marry your girl; just take a look at her compared to our fine Hausa/Fulani girls.

Didn't you read how Yunusa's father opposed the marriage, how he reported the case to his village head who in turn reported it to the Emirate council, prompting the Emir to order for the girl to be returned; of course it would hurt you to recall the video footage of how the girl was openly protesting against being separated from her sweet darling Yunusa.

Indeed, the prospect of marrying a northerner of legitimate humble means may seem bleak to you, however, it is by far better than the alternative of a criminal lifestyle that you deceptively often like to refer to as hustling: for a girl, like Ese, starting early at the tender age of 13/14 yrs with the art of opening her legs and graduating to a full runs girl or olosho by 18.
Some may not be so lucky and may have been forcefully tutored and impregnated by no other than her own father, an uncle or a predatory pastor/local priest, necessitating in an abortion or the sanctuary of a baby factory in order to offload/sell her unwanted cargo.
By the time a girl like that had reached what you call the ripe age of marriage, she would probably have under gone so many abortions that her womb would he literally turned tokumbo.

Its no wonder that many of you feel the need to first test run your tokumbo brides to make sure their wombs are still functional; thereby bringing into this world so many children out of wedlock to add to your increasing population of unruly wayward criminally inclined bastards.

No thanks, you can keep your girl, no one has that kind of time to waste.
