She won narrowly but unfortunately the US electoral system does not go with that, they rather use the Electoral College voting system.

What it means is that even if 60 million people voted for her in a single state with one electoral vote, she still would not win. Trump won in states with more electoral votes.

If Nigeria adopted this method of voting in the president, it would stem issues such as was experienced in Kano and Rivers state respectively.
