How can you be blowing things anyhow without going through other strategies. Our national stupidity is appalling.

Why not silently see where the truck or trucks are going from the air; see if it is a pattern of the same routes, then you can see how much area of control those bandits/militants have, then use your ground game to understand better, see who the buyers are, if they are Nigerians or foreigners you still observe them with picture/video evidences, and at the right time, you strike them simultaneously. It might take months or a year. With this strategy, you can seize the oil from the source, avoid unnecessary environmental pollutions, seize their accounts, arrest a lot with proof, and increase the confidence of our citizens in your job, and foil or alter plans of other copy cats.

If you were born today, you possibly might not see a better Nigeria if you live to a 100. We and our collective intelligence don't mix like oil and water.

They can radio in the location of the barges.... fly in troops to seize them. The oil can be off loaded at a legal port and the barges used by the military for other purposes. As it is now... the oil would leak out and contaminate the river and streams... people who use that water would be faced with health hazards... the fishes and other forms of life would be contaminated.... the fish you eat extra week may be one such fish... so no matter how far away you are..this can affect you. When the barges sink.... that stream would eventually be blocked and guess what would happen when it rains? All of this because of these dumb military people.
