Hello house. Yesterday my RAV 4's horn suddenly began honking without stopping until I removed its fuse. The electrician who attended to me said the Spiral Cable Clock Spring needs to be replaced. He didnt open it anyways. But according to him, that must have been the reason for the uncontrollable honking. Anyone else with this problem before? Where and like how much can get this fixed? Suggestions will appreciated.

What year of Rav4 is this? Am so much in doubt of this. It should be the other way round.i.e the horn might stoo work there is a flex inside the SAS if it gets over strecthed then your horn might stop working inclusive of all steering control buttons you have. Lets do this.

Check if all buttons work on the steering
Is your airbag light on?
Was there any recent job done on the steering, swaybar link ?
If its the SAS that's faulty I have yours in stock

Yes, the airbag light is On. The buttons on the steering still working well. No recent job done on the steering except now. Thanks for your time Bro.

Thanks to you all. I ve fixed the horn. I had to buy the Spiral Cable Clock Spring (car electricians call am "Horn Control") from Ladipo. My horn is back to normal.

I would like to ask a question relating to your vehicle, if you don't mind, since I use same. Does your vehicle rev at times during motion with a loud noise? Just wondering is it a common thing to Rav4 2006 model! Could it be an ATF issue or gearbox itself?
