china makes knock offs in almost everything from foodstuffs to aerospace nobody can deny that , ur falling prey to Stockholm syndrome .

the issue here is about reliability which is directly related to quality and which again is directly related to costs.

if u pay the chinese more money they will give u more reliable products but then again why not pay the same money to buy from more established companies worldwide.

paying less money will give u cheap unreliable products

everything ends and starts with the about of money ur paying , it determines the quality and reliability.
paying more get more.paying less get less.generally saying this is right, but not always. military product is not ordinary commodity, but a political issue, something not a free competitive market, there are many barriers which sometimes lead the price twisted

there was an example in US-Vietnamese war,China gave many weapons to Vietnam for free. And later in Sino-Vietnamese war,China gave cambodia many weapons for free.
Other contry may also have twisted price too for different reason or purpose.

when i mention aircrafts crashing people get angry .

what is the big deal about equipment's malfunctioning , this is something which happens with every equipment.

what is important is the frequency with this malfunctioning occurs.
Failure rate (λ) is the frequency with which an engineered system or component fails, expressed in failures per unit of time
the more common parameter is known as MTBF (mean time between failures) which is a measure of how reliable a hardware product or component is. it is 1/λ (1/Failure rate).

i tire oooo grin

i dont think any of u even read my posts , that is why nowadays i post only pics.

true but what is stopping china from behaving same like US if it suits her interests.

there are no freebies and friends in international dealings only interests which are revisited almost on a day to day basis.

eg today china may supply equipment to Eritrea which is embargoed by the west , suppose tomorrow Eritrea becomes democratic and aligns with the west , then will china still supply arms or will she use the existing defense relation to arm twist that country for her interests ?

Lol. I know the Chinese make knock off but I wouldn't care to do that so far it's effective.

The people buying it obviously know the specifications of the knock off..

It doesn't mean the Chinese can't manufacture high effective things too. Their capability may be limited but it's obviously commendable.

About the foodstuff. grin I comment my reserve. grin grin

never said anything different.
i said u pay more money, u will get high effective things even from china, china has a high R & D base/capability now. high quality product will always have a high price with very small cost/profit margin when compared to similar products worldwide.

u see unless people face out of the common difficulties / competition , they dont perform upto their potential.

i know 2 nigerians who r very rich in india, got indianized completely , nobody can guess they r africans . their wives were bindis on their foreheads and take part in all rituals like other ordinary house wives. it is funny becz the wives were imported from nigeria grin but as they say women will be women forget nationality. the way they gossip , all women are same and i though indian women r no good grin

me i dont know , u all will know better grin

just one question out of curiosity, do the Indian origin south African people still follow Indian traditions ?

u see my interaction r very limited, not on a personal level, but u all will know better.

anyways i was a great fan of a south african fellow he was a boer (i am not sure i got the name correct.)
in my childhood days i used to see his programs on a TV channel , he was a out door cook.

he used to go on outback tour , sometimes the bushes sometimes the coasts sometimes the game ranges and cook with locally available materials. he traveled all over . it was very nice to see his cooking shows . he used to put beer can inside a raw chicken and marinate it and then set it to roast in an open fire fit . then he used to collect sea shells / clams from the beach and cook them right there. grin

i really enjoyed his shows, but long time back his show stopped from being aired.

ps : i tried putting a beer can inside a chicken and bloody hell the chicken got all blown to bits grin grin grin grin

SA chickens must be explosion proof grin

Our Indians are a mix bunch some follow traditional beliefs, some are Christian and some are Muslim(Indian decent,Not Pakistani), but one thing they all have in common is their accent.....oh and they all drive GTIs!! grin grin grin grin

Anyway im not familiar with the outdoor cook or show you're talking about unfortunately, and yes it is Boer !! Proudly one myself!

I think Trevor Noah explains South African Indians the best!, skip to 5:00 to hear how South African Indians got their accent :

west and south indians might turn out to have such accent. but not sure grin grin
but surely it is a unique accent grin grin grin grin

anyways its nice to see IOP integrating to their country of birth. grin

There's plenty of poor Indians in South Africa, just go to places like Phoenix township and Stanger... The only difference is that they're not as poor as subcontinent Indians.

and if the same poor subcontinental Indians sell their gold hoardings only , it will raise anywhere above 50 billion dollars

and if all Indians sell their gold it will raise anywhere near 1-2 trillion dollars if not more. unofficial estimate is more almost double

hell ! if Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple sell their gold it will raise 1 trillion dollars , and it is a single temple there r thousands of temples.

we dont go by western / other countries definition of poor . there's more to life than money .
