Wole Soyinka did not support Biafra. According to Soyinka himself, a group of Nigerian writers gathered and decided to send a representative to Biafra to try to convince their colleagues over there to drop the Biafran agenda. A northerner volunteered to go, but Soyinka objected to that, stating that it might not be safe for the northerner in Biafra. So, Soyinka chose to go. He recalled that he was being called a saboteur by some Biafran soldiers, but he was allowed to navigate his way to Enugu, where he met up with his good friend Christopher Okigbo. Of course, Okigbo was committed to the fulfillment of Biafra...Soyinka left Biafra and returned to Nigeria where he was arrested and thrown in jail. That was the extent of his involvement with Biafra, according to Soyinka.

Fajuyi was killed for his involvement in the Jan 15 "Igbo" coup. The northerners were aware of his involvement and he was marked for death. I believe Ademoyega, who was also involved in the same coup details Fajuyi's involvement in his book. Ironsi's ADC Lt.
