There is a growing trend among Nigerian men and that is the fact that they tend to marry late compared to when their parents go married. Here are reasons believed to be responsible for this new trend of late marriage among Nigerian men.

1. Bride price
One of the reasons men marry late is that they are afraid of the demands that they will have to meet up to when it's time to pay the dowry. It is no news that dowry has become a way for some families to make money off prospective In-laws. Some demand as much as 1 million both in cash and material things. So, some men will rather wait till they think they are financially capable of meeting up to the demands.

2. End to Bachelorhood
Getting married to one woman is tantamount to having a cable network with an option to watch only one channel. This is why some men hesitate to get married as it will hinder their escapades with other women. So, they want to have all the fun they can have before thinking of marriage.

3. They will be tied Down
Apart from fact that marriage ties men to one woman. A lot of men are jittery towards marriage as it may mean that they won't be able to do things they used to do. Like hanging out with the guys and flexing around town.

4. Lavish Weddings
We are at a time when throwing lavish weddings is a sign of future marital bliss. So, everyone doesn't want to be the odd one out. We all want that wedding of our dreams coupled with the pressure from our intending bride. So, men will wait till they have made the kind of money that can make them have their wedding in the sky. Lol.

5. Finding the right one
He who finds a good wife, finds a good think. That's a popular saying that a lot of men take very seriously. They don't want to go into a marriage where they will regret all their lives. That is why they want to marry the right woman even if it means waiting a long time to do so, they will.

Your points are pointless.Apart from your 2 and 3 been same,d major reasons are Men financial and psychological stability which encompasses readiness for marriage and choice of a compatible partner that will permanently live with him .That makes your 5th point baseless as no one is d right one even you.Reason why i said "Compatibility".How many men with financial stability has called off marriage because of bride price or fear of lavish wedding?Moreover wedding d ceremony is according to the partners design and desire so it has nothing to do with been rich.
