The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed another set of illegal oil barges in Rivers States. Two of the latest barges filled with stolen oil were set ablaze by NAF helicopters on armed patrol around Okoromabie and South East of Port Harcourt refinery.

The third barge, surrounded by canoes carrying drums, was sited at Onne. While individuals around the barge and canoes fled when fired at, the barge and drums did not explode, indicating the possibility of being empty.

If I catch a thief stealing what belongs to my community I won't destroy it but rather return the item to my community. Why not seize them and hand it over to nnpc or any refineries? Why destroy them?

Buhari has been able to expose those who looted and raped Nigeria without mercy, including Mama Piss and those wigged judges, and he's dealing with them. Something the Ineffectual Buffoon could not even dare.

A student who comes home with a woeful or excellent result didn't record that result on the day he brings it home. He/she had actually recorded that performance probably some months/years back. What he brings home to his/her parents is only a confirmation of what s/he had sown in those past years.

There is NOTHING happening in Nigeria today that was not forewarned or predicted some years back. Sanusi said his own. Bismark Rewane said his own. Soludo said his own. Even at very late stage, madam Puff-Puff said it that Nigeria should prepare for tough times ahead when the useless woman and the IB were already borrowing to pay salaries in early 2015 at $75 per barrel of crude. Did anyone think tough times meant merry making times?

there is difference between a barge and a canoe. NAF did not shoot canoes but suspicious barges in suspicious environment... you also need to note that before any attack there must be reconnaissance...NAF una weldone

The environmentalist will not condemn this approach now. Why cowardly attack the barges from the air and pollute the water with oil? Why can't the naval gunboats that are being paraded in the media be used to intercept and seize such barges?

We southerners should not keep quiet and watch this evil.

Watch out, very soon militants will get equipment to stay downing these planes. The military should man up and tackle this the right way with the navy.

FG should withdraw the army from the creeks but just leave ND for the navy and airfore. Army quick response forces can be on alert for intervention missions
