there is difference between a barge and a canoe. NAF did not shoot canoes but suspicious barges in suspicious environment... you also need to note that before any attack there must be reconnaissance...NAF una weldone

Absolutely right. NAF has high altitude reconnaissance plans so you can be sure this is no whim. Also especially on the first barge you see a small secondary explosion and plumes of thick black smoke indicating that the content is crude oil.

You have to hand it to the gunners on the helios, they don't waste bullets. Within seconds of the sound of cannon fire you see ignition; that is sharp, sharp firing.

With the right political will, economic crimes can be brought to a minimum.

By the way to those who wonder why they don't see people or bodies, the NAF doesn't ever show people being killed. To view that you will need the raw footage.

The sound of an incoming helio is easy to pick up and there is enough time to get off the barge but whether there is enough time to escape the spray area from the machine guns/cannons is quite another matter.

I don't glorify the loss of life but only a fool or at best a reckless person intentionally puts himself in harms way.

You obviously don't know what a barge is , their hulls make them suitable for small rivers , lakes and man made loughs found in the British isles and central Europe

Gun boats would never be able to navigate those rivers safely. The navy would be sitting ducks prone to ambush

i think all these are jst waste of ammunition...

we heard operation crocodile tears yet Trans-focardoes Pipeline that jst came online after more that 8month of shut-in had been down again via militant bombing. same with the Nembe creek truck lines..

Oga...I'm not saying they should use a destroyer or aircraft carrier. There are gun boats that are small enough to operate the creeks. I mentioned the copters being used for aerial cover too...you can't defeat an army with such equipment...not when you are not a state, but a group of rag tag militants.
