Hi nairalanders, I saw this decking design somewhere in Lagos.. I think the is not right, there was no structural design for the decking though.. The decking is 12m x 12m and ideas told they use 2tons of 16mm, 3tons of 12mmm and half ton of 10mm for that size of decking. Is that not too much for this decking design i don't understand.. I can see steel members for beams. I can't tell the span of each slab nor the length of the beam from the picture. However from the picture i think they re in order. My only concern are the stirrup/links on the beams, they look too spaced apart. If is it not more than 300mm c/c, then they re in order.

16mm for the beams. 12mm for the main rebars for the slab, while 10 for distribution bars for the slab.

BTW I am a structural engineer.
