As if you never heard of alfas doing incisions (gbere in yoruba parlance) on people before for fortification. This one was just unlucky to be caught in the open, some alfas and also pastors killed people physically and spiritually and got away with it. It is what it is. Their followers will still call them with these titles. Truth be told it is very common among the alfas.

U guys seem to think that religion overtakes free will...he chose to do whatever he did however he wanted. Even following the tenets of any religion is a matter of choice and conviction. You may coerce with threats of death if one steps out but without full conviction and conscious willingness, people will try to subvert whatever religious system there is where possible. He decided to exercise his will to drink and kill...alcohol is no crime but if the security agencies are up and doing, he can be gotten for murder..that is all there is to it.

According to you, he may not be an alfa in a religious sense but he may well be an alfa in every islamic religious sense so what then? The fact that his victim was always rebuking him for actions apparently contrary to islamic teachings shows that he had a certain level of islamic expectations which he ought to uphold. You are also making assumptions so why do u think yours is more viable than mine?

That is what he was addressed as in the article. Unless you know him personally and all his neighbours can testify that he is not a muslim cleric/alfa, you shouldn't import extraneous materials and his actions are not out of the realm of possibility. He married a very rich white woman and owned several houses in Lagos. His house(a story building) in Agbotikuyo is what is now Fak.. Academy (where I worked as a teacher ). I can confirm 2 u guy dat the Deceased person was himself a first class drunkard who believed that lifestyle was totally wrong for Alfa. I happened to know the guy very well. He fondly addressed as Popson. May his soul RIP
