States are sharing billions, governors are allocating large chunks to security votes, feeding fat, owe workers salaries, while LGs grow thin and the people are impoverished. No one is asking for some accountability from these governors, too much focus is on FG |

BeeBeeOoh:The governors are not the thieves it the FG that are the thieves here. In normal countries, the states with those minerals would sell them and pay the Federal government. In Nigeria, everything is upside down. The thieves are the FG that have annexed the resources of the state governments and now dish out a tiny bit to states and LGA while retaining a lion share of the money to do almost nothing in terms of development. Apart from not developing Nigeria with this money they have cornered, the same FG also want to borrow external loans to embezzle and mortgage the future of the country in a huge foreign debt crisis when they must have left government. |
