na only u sabi do Maths here... - 10 is the answer, I dunno how all dis people arrive at those outrageous answers
It is not -10, it is -6.

The reason is this:
The bag is 10, the newspaper is 2(2 newspapers, that is to say, 1 is for 1 newspaper) the books are 10(they are 5 books, so 2 is for one book)

So 10(bag) - 2(newspaper) * 8(4 books not 5)

Using bodmas, multiplication comes before subtraction.

10-16 = -6

Is this clear sir?

The way you calculated it, you didn't take note that there was a change in the number of newspaper. Look at the two I circled.

And also the pile of books in equation 3 is 5 pieces but it was reduced to 4 pieces on the last equation.

You would have to solve towards that.
na true ooooo

Re: Who Can Solve This? by omooajisnooni: 2:33pm On Nov 25, 2016
10-(4x4) x 2= 10 - 16 x 2

using bodmas I.e multiplication before subtraction therefore,

10 - 32 = - 22

therefore, answer is -22

a bag is 10, newspaper is 2 and 4 books (each book is 4)
