Johannesburg is the only city clearly ahead of Lagos atm. And so many African business reports state that Lagos is fastly closing that gap. If you watch CNBCA often, you'd know better. Anyway, I'm still itching to see what's in Pretoria or Capetown that you won't find in Lagos and Abuja (VI, Ikoyi, Eko Atlantic and Banana Island especially). Y'all should post more pictures of Pretoria and Capetown please

I share the same comment, I see Nigeria to be very urgly, to them building some tall buildings and some roads in the city is the beauty and class of a city... The aerial photos of Lagos looks like abig slum but they still see beauty in that shithole.

Nigeria is naturally beautiful. What makes a city beautiful is the architectural designs of buildings, well laid roads with pedestrian walk, trees along the roads, gardens, street lights etc

When it comes to that Abuja has them all even more than Nairobi while Lagos is doing the needful.

Are these buildings in Lagos urgly?

Nigeria cities consist of concrete jungle with iron-sheet roofed houses. No way it can compete with Kenya or South African cities. Despite all the petrodollars there is simply no class or planning. Abuja a town that was built using lots of dollars still looks whack.What you notice in Nairobi or Joburg is lots of greenery, parks, working roads and well planned & beatifully building. Not a concrete jungle without running power. The best you can see in Nigeria are glass-cladded building. Noting breathtaking.

Nigeria has a long way to reach Nairobi level leave alone South Africa. You find slums in South Africa and Kenya coz there clear distinction - Nigeria cities are one mish-mash of slum (really rusted iron roofed houses next to concrete jungle with missing tarmac roads).
