Ugosample:I sincerely wished all Igbos were understanding and responsible like you. You are just very objective and please keep the good work with your positivity. Everything that happens always happen for a reason with an underlying cause which we cannot wish away but only understand. May God help us all. |

Ugosample:You are dead wrong as usual. There was 1953 Kano massacre. Again, do not try to create fans on inaccuracies. |

lawani:Correctly true. We all face these issues in Nigeria. Some of us minorities even face worse discrimination and attacks, just that igbos always cry loudest. For instance it is only in the core-north that igbos are likely to be attacked for their identity unlike we middlebelters and yoruba muslims who are likely to be attacked in both the core-north and the east. I am from Kogi for instance and i have lost relatives in Onitsha killings because my people were mistaken for hausas by the igbo mobs. Even in the core-north during crisis we are not spared, hausas mistake we the middlebelt christians for igbos and call our muslims fake muslims. If crisis start for instance in a place like Onitsa or Aba, most igbos will not be able to differentiate hausa fulanis from middlebelters and yoruba/edo muslims and we suffer the same fate. |

Ugosample:In a public arena like this forum, try to measure your words and be mindful of your characterization. A person who can read and write cannot be classified as an illiterate by person who claimed be literate. Besides, the most of the kids had Grade 1 or 2 in WASC hence were able to attend the British West Africa Officers Cadet Academy in Tasha, Ghana and onward to Sandhurst Military Academy, UK. |

Ugosample:This is one among many reasons we should not allow the January 15, 1966 coup to slide into political weapon of tribal hatred. If Nigerian armed forces of the northern region indigenes were not involved in 1966 riot, we would not have this discussion. |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Ugosample(m): 12:13pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Duru1:Yea right. If Nigeria gets over its tribal acrimony, Nigeria will be a great country indeed. Disintegrating Nigeria will be too bad, and the damage will be felt across Africa indeed, as the armed forces will have to be disintegrated too; and you know what that means for many African countries |

e ianSweet:You simply cannot eat your cake and have it. It is apparent we cannot live peacefully together in Nigeria. The sure best thing would be to part ways from each other. God can only help those that help themselves. I guess your support for IPOB would agitate the help of God. The riot and massacre instigated by tribal differences will be a thing of the past when we all settle in our respective nation states. Nigerians do not have constant riot with the Togolese or Ghanaians because of tribal dissimilarity. |

blues2022:If Biafra had not invaded the Midwest and West, there would have been a PH Ikwerre division in Biafra today. So there is no issue of being fraudulently carved out and Asaba was never in Biafra. Those are the two major Igbo cities outside the SE. Asaba has no issue. They are ok with Biafra. Only Ikwerre has issues and the land is Ikwerre land just like Ijesa or Ife land is Ijesa or Ife respectively! Dont let them be insulting you! Just tell them to be a separate country if they want but negotiate an agreement of no import or export tariff with them with UN witnesses. They can even grant an Igbo owned company a cargo handling license at their port. The Ikwerres believe the SE Igbos want revenge. So put yourself in their shoes! Later in the future, they mat agree to join but take what you have now and run with it. At least 150 embassies will open in an Igbo country, at 100 staff each, that is 15,000. Glo, MTN, Airtel will open offices, you have your army and police and etc, you control your market and you have a base. You gain a lot! Again, no land is really under dispute in Nigeria. There is native sovereignty, land have owners!. |

Ugosample:The Europeans were wise and decided to make sure that culture and tradition should be cornerstone of nation building. Germans and French could not live together in one country. Most of the wars fought in Europe have come as a result of maltreatment of certain minority ethnic group in one country while their brethren are heterogeneously majority in neighboring country. The tribal nations in Nigeria are growing large and wide with stronger embrace to culture and tradition. In future, there must be a need to have a distinct nation for ethnicity. Besides, there is an unforeseen power in vernacular when used as language of education. |

lawani:What crap are you on about? Biafra was eastern region of Nigeria and PH was squarely in eastern region. As of the alleged silly invasion of Midwestern and Western regions, Nigeria had started invading Biafra from both Midwestern and Western regions before Biafra reacted. |

Duru1:The French are a mixture of different tribes and countries out together and unified by the French language. heck, Sarkozy's father was from Hungary and many other French politicians and people come from many other places, but because their skin is white, you will not know. The Italians came together as a country, but there are not the same people in the real sense of it when you check from 200 -300 years back. The Spaniards the same thing, even the United Kingdom, they are not the same people at all, but in most cases, they decided to forge a common Destiny. Why can't Africans do the same? Are United States the same people? What of Belgium? Canada? even India? What do you have to say about my point? |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Ugosample(m): 12:39pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Duru1:If Africa follows that line and divide based on ethic lines, we will have more than 1000 countries in Africa, and how viable can they be? The reason why the Europeans overran us in the first place is that clannish proposition you have for Nigeria to divide based on ethnic lines. With more than 250 tribes in Nigeria, should Nigeria now split into 250? |

Ugosample:Do not be deceived with the alleged diversity in USA. There must be a dominate culture for nation states to survive. In the case of USA, it is English. As you have alluded with the case of Sarkozy and Hungary, yet the dominate culture is French and the language is the unit of measure. It is not out of ordinary to request the existence of Republic of Igbo land or even Biafra where a dominate culture can consolidated all the elements of progressives. |

Duru1:What is the dominant culture in Belgium? Switzerland? even say Canada? are these countries not working and developed? Find another excuse. |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by lawani(m): 12:50pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Duru1:Your comment implies you are an idiot. If you declare your Biafra and move your army into Yoruba territory again, then you will have yourself to blame again of course! Because you will be pursued like a fowl and blockaded until you beg for mercy! This is what you need to understand. |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Ugosample(m): 12:51pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Duru1:And besides, the American culture today is a mixture of several cultures, that is why it is called the "melting pot of cultures" Fine the language many speak is English, but it all surprise to know that America has no official language at the federal level, so there are dozens of Languages spoken in America too, like French is Louisiana, German in ND and Spanish in California/New Mexico. If you have proposed a confederation of ethnic nationality under the Nigeria umbrella, where each nationality handles it's issues and do not need to run to Abuja to beg, !then contribute for federal infrastructure army and foreign policy, that would have made more sense, but disintegration? That is a lazy argument |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Duru1(m): 12:58pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Ugosample:You seem to mistake the beginning with the ending. If USA has stated as melting pot of cultures as it is seen without a dominate culture, I bet my cent there would have been on USA. Maine was even colonized by Sweden but when the PM visited in 1822, the Swedish language has been replaced with English. The Yanks were on a mention of building a great nation and no culture or tradition other then English will stand in their way. It is even unfortunate that USA is now allowing Spanish as second language. |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by lawani(m): 1:02pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Ugosample:You miss the point. One culture is dominant in the USA. State funded education is English based. Their ties are with the UK. They were a post of Britain and majority of them descended from Britain and Ireland. In your Biafra will be Yoruba people. Infact the Obi Onitsha is a Yoruba descent man but now Igbo and etc. That is how it is. Dominate your sphere! Now, this restructuring you mentioned, what about police and soldiers? The main thing is let non Yoruba soldiers and police leave Yoruba land as part of your restructuring. Do you like that? If you dont, you must be evil. |
| Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Duru1(m): 1:03pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Ugosample:There were cultural wars in Belgium until the level heads prevailed. Africans are not European as people could be allowed and understood that even though divided by the culture and tradition, they could form a united nation. Canada is internally divided along language barriers. |

lawani:Majority of Americans did not descend from Britain stop spreading falsehood, What will you say about the Germans and the French. Remember, as at the time America gained independence, they were just 13 rebellious States, now they are 50, so the remaining 37 were not under Britain at all, but instead came from former French prooerty (Louisiana) Mexico (Texas, California AZ and NM) and even Russia (Alaska) so your point is not valid in America's case. |
