with my score of 72 i wasnt offered any admission into unilag but mostly new school leavers were given the most admission which is very painful and this new method of pume is very unfair to us who wrote waec back then

what about me i scored 265 in jamb and my points fell at 68 cos my o level results was C all through while unilag cut off for mass com was 70...
So i'm being left wit no other option than to write jamb again.

Truth is, yorubber universities are being overhyped

next time before you pick any university,be very careful.i personally wont advise anyone to pick any of those self acclaimed top universities like uniben,unilag e.t.c.just apply to any state univ around you

it's a blatant lie, I'm actually studying in the University, in my department alone, I can't count how many igbos I've as friends and they're doing very well

Probably you should try a state uni next year or a less competitive federal uni.

OP what is the cut-off for your course? If you scored below the cut-off - why are you expecting admission?

You know all south west states fall under unilag catchment.Thats why he was considered.
Let it slide,just prepare for your next step.

Its safer to pick a federal university that falls within your geographical zone. Its hypocritical to blame unilag for favoring s/w and not blame unn for favoring s/e or uniben for favoring s/s zone. It is not every skul that create a level playing field like university of ibadan

Does the jamb result 3 yrs validity still holds? If not, is the form out?

Look ehn Op. I didnt write Jamb this year but in 2014. I didnt really want to choose UNILAG but I was kind of forced to. I passed and my name came out with the first list. People that also did well also got admitted.
You shouldnt fear a school if you have confidence in God and in yourself, if you deserved the admission, you would have gotten it

Unilag is a good schopl but for reasons even unknown to me I don't like it.... Primary school, Secondary school in Lagos I can not come and go and attend a Uni in that is in Lagos

Its just my opinion though

stop behaving as if you arent in nigeria.the number of yearly aspirants applying to those federal univ is far more than their carrying capacities so even if your jamb or waec score is high,there is no guarantee of you getting admitted.i dont know what you meant by the statement "aiming for less" .a bsc is a bsc.whether its is from a state or a federal university.
