Former Special Adviser, Electronic Media, to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has said that the Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai is opening a Pandora’s box which can not be closed by paying Fulani herdsmen to stop killing in Southern Kaduna.


Describing the act as “unjust, idiocy and madness” in what he termed “Paying Murderers to Stop Killing in Southern Kaduna,” Omokri condemned the Governor’s act and said such is capable of breeding more dangers than the solution it claims to solve.

“I was shocked out of my revere. Who does that? How can a government pay murderers to stop murdering? Are we living under the mafia? we in Chicago of the 1920s? Reno has spoken the utmost truth. It's sad to see that a sitting govnor cld compensate an aggressor for taking the life of his people. Who then does he represent? This is indeed a sad reminder that a certain people and their interests are prioritised and there exists a lot of complicity in high places in the decimation of others who do not share tribes nor religion with the aggressors. In Nigeria today, we live everyday wondering how we shortchanged ourselves with these idiots who call themselves leaders professing a change which is obviously in the realm of a mirage.

El Rufia, the Governor of Kaduna state has simply empowered the murderers to continue killing whenever it suits them.

I don't see why Kaduna govenor should pay these muder unless he hired them. If they want to spend money let them buy arms and take the fight to them.

I am from the North (middle belt) and one thing that keeps surprising me is how the South have to keep staying In the same country with us!
People of the North have mostly decided to live in medieval times. The only semblance of civilization you can see are the type embraced by the minority tribes among us.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am not surprised at all with the mentality of El-rufai. It is unfortunate that most of us reason that way!
But I hope that in the eventual disintegration of Nigeria, the people of the middle belt have a stake too as to where they want to be.
