Sorry about that, I doubt if it can be fixed though, even if it's possible be rest assured your files/information will be lost.

your files can be recovered based on the level of damage on the sd card. they are few data recovery software for pc. some are free, some are paid. some might not work, some might. but start with recuva.

hmm.. since u didn't backup I don't think you can recover your data back

I also have the same problem....I have almost 6 damaged 8GB memory card (inclusive of a 16GB MC) but I don't know how to use my Windows 8 to work on it.
All the examples on NL are how to repair the memory card but with Windows 7 & not Windows 8.



N.B. I don't care about recovery, just want to repair the MC
