The Federal Government has issued a new prohibition order banning importation of new and used vehicles via land borders, and restricting it to seaports only. The new policy which came via a statement issued on Monday by the Nigeria Customs Service has indicated that the ban will take effect from January 1, 2017. The statement which was signed by its spokesperson, Mr. Wale Adeniyi, advised importers of vehicles through the land borders to utilize the grace period up till December 31 to clear their vehicles that was in neighbouring countries’ ports. http://www.dovestreets.com/posts/apost/32104 |
