KANO is also a major state that can compete industrially too but most of the companies are folding up cos of power issue. The costs of running on generators plus the cost of transportation makes it difficult to compete with others in the south.

1. I know Kenyan bourgeois is more comfortable than Nigerian bourgeois and whether you agree or not, it's because of stable electricity.

2. We not having stable electricity perhaps is what furnishes our art and culture. E.g.: No TV, go out and play football instead, hence Nigeria has better footballers and many other things. Even you deep down cannot deny the level of technical, intellectual creativity and elegance cannot be compared, even Indians living in Nigeria testify to our intellectual brilliance and self reliance. Things don't work in Nigeria, we know, maybe that's why we go out and create.

The idea that a Nigerian owned financial institution opened a branch in your country should convince you enough but wait, even your art and culture to a certain extent is heavily influenced by Naija stuff, can't remember the last time, any core Nigerian actually followed your music or anything else, key word core.

Nigerians arr inherently intelligent, stubborn people and proud of it, that is where to difference is marked. You might sell the idea that yes we don't have roads or light or fine houses, this is true, none of us here is afraid to admit it, but does change the fact that your country is a living manifestation poverty meeting desperation, most of your people are not even well cultured, you are all so ethnocentric and ignorant of what's around you. Honestly who are you to say such things? Does your ability to manipulate the English Lagrange somehow make you superior?

That's why I find this thread so fascinating! We all believed Naij GDP per capita was wayyy above ours. I've followed this thread from the start and these guys are only slightly above us on the whole using the real exchange rate.
I think they know it deep down which explains the pathological delusion. I swear they sound like Somalis! You can practically see them frothing,waving their baby fists and flexing their chicken muscles.

Football is a culture to you guys and that is why you are better at it, it is a culture in West Africa. I do not think that electricity has something to do with it though. In Kenya people love football, actually the majority are football fans but I bet around 99% of Kenyans cannot name the 4 teams in the Kenyan Premier league, they like the EPL more. Very few people attend football matches here. Rugby gets more mtch attending fans tbh. Thats why our football is miles behind

1 st picture Philly shipyard, Philadelphia, USA.
2nd picture is from the website of LADOL which is a Nigerian logistics company. Its not even a shipyard, it a berth!!
3rd picture is from Samboo ATC which is a South Korean shipbuilder based in Jeonbuk, South Korea.
4 th picture is from the Ericson Manufacturing Company, a electrical safety products based in willoughby, Ohio. They have a ship maintenance function.


Please, naijjans, these brazen lies take us nowhere. Shipbuilding ala South Korea or Denmark is a very competitive industry which few nations have the gall to compete with these two industry leaders. Small boat manufacturing is rife all over though. But please, spare us fake a$$ photos. Damn.

LADOL advances in $3.8b Egina FPSO vessel construction
The Lagos Deep Offshore Logistic Base (LADOL) is blazing the trail in the quest for local capacity development in the country as it advanced with the construction of the world-class Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel.

The indigenous oil and gas logistics firm is currently working on the sections of the FPSO at its Free Zone base in Apapa. The Managing Director of LADOL, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, said the yard is where the first ever locally fabricated Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) project took place.

During a recent tour of the yard the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, she said the implementation of the $3.8 billion project in-country would boost capacity and aid the national economy.

She said: “This project is first of its kind in Africa and sitting at an indigenous facility like LADOL, speaks volumes of our national resolve and determination to take our pride of place as the regional hub.”

Kenya is far away from Nigeria.

That doesn't change the fact that Nigeria's electric supply is shitty. FYI all companies have an alternative electricity supply - it's only that while in most countries the alternative is rarely used, in Nigeria it is used 80℅ of the time.

Assuming you're actually exceptional,how does that translate into our low self esteem,insecurities and all that other ish?

The western media wants to make Africans feel they are far from development but Nigerians don't care because we understand their plans and we wont let them succeed. They know that if Africans should grow like the Asians they will have to struggle for relevance. For now, one in every three African is a middle income earner and Africans have the fastest growing Economy. What do you expect in 20 years time?

In Nigeria, most of the companies are owned by Nigerians. We have started realizing we can benefit from our huge population. we don't even need to depend on any country for 85% of our needs. From 1999 to date, the rate of development in Nigeria is alarming even with corruption everywhere. I know we could have done better if we had good leaders who put the country first before their own selfish interest.
