Frankly, I share in the belief that whoever drafted the 1999 constitution, did so with a clear cut agenda, that is, the plan to enshrine Islam into the law of Nigeria. Yes, I understand why the christians want their own court. Surely, if it's good for the goose it's good for the gander. Islam and christianity (it's followers) have wrecked more havoc than any religious group in this country. The continuous 'cold war' between this two religious group is dividing this country. So let them have what they want, next the atheist and traditionalist will come and demand for their own court. Let's see who will be smiling at the end of the day. A people that is brain wash with religion can and will never have any thing going for them. If our christians and Muslims have an aorta of sense in that lobotomized thing they call a brain, they should take a look at overtly religious country like Saudi Arabia, U.A.E and Vatican City, then compare it with Nigeria, I believe the difference is clear, like 7-Up. |

Goke7:FFK is a bigot along with his followers. Most of them are frustrated and see religious extremism as a route to express frustration. The bill won't sail |

Goke7:That's exactly my point!. The christians and Muslims in Nigeria believe they own Nigeria, that's why they do as they please and shove their dogmatic archaic beliefs down other people's throat. If they can have what they want, why shouldn't others have what they want also? |

JoeBlocks:I am a practicing Christian but I have to state that Christianity is not meant to replace civil law. As a faith, it is about our poersonal relationship with God and men of all race and creed. In fact, the Bible recognized civil authority as God ordained and enjoin Christian to abide by laws of the land as long as it doesnt conflict with our faith. Jesus said his Kingdom is not of this world, why are religious titleholders trying to change that? |

JoeBlocks:Honestly as a christian I feel ashamed about certain things, when you talk, other Christians say you are supporting islam. Do you know am against Churches owning universities or even banks? a Christian individual can but not church entities yet when you talk they say after all the muslims have theirs, shebi churches now have universities and banks, now we want courts now. We are killing our nation cos its now a 'dog eat dog' competition. Am sick of Nigeria, the moment you have hope that things are on track, the next moment we go 50 years backward, very soon this country will not even contain you and I with the way we are going. There is also another yeye bill again where Lagos, Kano and Anambra will all be given special status to pacify those who were annoyed with the Lagos special status bill initially. what sort of country is this? |

TonyeBarcanista:Same way they preach prosperity above salvation. Saying you're a christian doesn't mean you are, bro. Remember, "action speak louder than words". It's the same thing we see everyday in Nigeria. Christians and Muslims shout about saying they're christians and Muslims while their very action speak that they're no better than badly paid religious drunks. It might thrill you to know christians of today hardly follow Biblical teaching. They've carved out their own laws and they abide by it however they see fit. |

What is this rubbish? Nigerian "Christians" are amongst the sickest most hypocritical people Ive ever had the misfortune of running across. Very confused lot. |
| Re: Why Nigerians Should Resist The Proposed Christian "Ecclesiastical" Court Bill by TonyeBarcanista(op): 11:52am On Dec 08, 2016 |
JoeBlocks:The words you quoted refers to them as "religious titlholders". Like you said, Christianity is not a title, it is a practice. Those that practice the faith are Christians, those that doesn't are not. |

TonyeBarcanista:truth is we have allowed those who are not truly Christians to speak for Christendom especially with the likes of ffk and fayose, their inciting statements against others have not help matters, some of us Christians foolishly taught they were fighting fo us as christians and sorry the likes of Rev father kukah has not help issues, how do you explain rev kukah visiting ffk and other pdp politicians in detention all in the name of solidarity. stuff like that makes the church look weak but when you talk other christians shout you down all because they hate PMB a muslim. We brought this on ourselves, I know it will come to this when GEJ was going round churches posing as a christian to cover all his incompetence as a leader, he also had the likes of Pastor Ayo fueling him on and so deepening the wall of division btw Christians and muslims. Tonye, this is the truth, we have allowed those who are not Christians to set the standard for the rest of us [Christians] and I repeat only God can bail us out, Have you been reading statements from the new CAN President since he became President of CAN, mhen that guy no be am o, Am also waiting for his statement on the eccl or wetin you call am sef christian bill. We are in a deeper poo than you think bruv. |

| Re: Why Nigerians Should Resist The Proposed Christian "Ecclesiastical" Court Bill by TonyeBarcanista(op): 12:15pm On Dec 08, 2016 |
Goke7:As long as Tonye is concerned, those people in CAN, PFN and other related unions are representing themselves and their families, Not Christianity. What they are trying to do is to infuse Christianity into their personal hustle, it is about them and them alone. As for FFK, I have known him since his days as SSA to Obasanjo and later minister, he is a nutcase. He isn't as normal as you think. Just like his father, he is a bigot and talkative. We won't allow them to create problem for us, it is better we speak out against them now or else we will compund our problems. |

Goke7:wat is the solution? wen we said don vote Buhari u think we were stupid. Now u are asking me. The truth is the north is over powerful, that needs to be checked. How can anybdy just take somebody daughter put hijab on her head by force, rape and impregnate her and take the case to islamic court that she is a convert? |

| Re: Why Nigerians Should Resist The Proposed Christian "Ecclesiastical" Court Bill by Goke7: 2:21pm On Dec 08, 2016 |
OILSOUP:oh PMB is your problem I see, he was the one that took the girl and put hijab on her head ba? This is what we have been saying since on this thread, our bigotry against someone we never wanted to be leader is the reason we must also promote hatred against his people and his religion. Congrats, the christian court has passed the second reading so when it succeeds in checking the so called powerful north according to you and eradicate girls being taken by force and hijab put on their head, pls let us know so we can celebrate together. |
