Don't forget that the Nigerian Army is producing APC vehicles locally and has started exporting them to some African countries. The APC is called Igirigi should in case @Proudlykenyan sees one in the Kenyan army. grin

Igirigi is different from Proforce made Ara and Pf2 APC.

Proforce defense limited is a privately owned defense solution company based in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Proforce has produced Pf1 and Pf2. Ara is going to be delivered by December to the Nigerian Army.

These APC vehicles have been patronized by the Nigerian Army, Rwanda and the UN. grin

Most parts of the cars were made in Nigeria but the engine and some other parts were imported though. This is how most companies operate. Even Toyota don't produce all the parts but contract them out to some other companies with specifications.

What matters most is the design of the car which is unique.

We have car assembly plants if that is what you want.

Saw an old post you did about East African coast people, why dont you share Lamu and Mombasa pictures here?? So that these people can know more about the Swahili culture and architecture

Its like buying materials from different outlets as a tailor , the new design was made by you , the dress was tailored by you .

The difference between assembly and manufacturing is that when you claim to manufacture, it means you design and produce some parts by yourself but when you assembly you didn't design or manufacture anything. All you are doing is putting parts together when you assemble a car.

Chinese still buy jet engines for their J10 and other fighter jet from Russia but they designed the aircraft themselves. The Indians produce the Tejas fighter jet but most of the components are from US and Israel. The Swedish produce Gripens but 60% of the aircraft is from US and another 20% from UK and Italy but they designed it. Denel South Africa produce MRAPs but most of the parts are from Europe but the design is theirs. The Brazilians produce super tucano but 80% of the parts from USA. The Pakistani produce JF17 thunder but 60% of the parts from Russia and China.

Go do research properly.

I am neutral in this. Naijas have accommodated many of my threads and getting involved will not serve my interests. That said, feel free to use any of those images since I also sourced them online.
