It was a night of great performance and surprises as the ‘Sunny On Sunday’ concert held Sunday to mark the 70th birthday of Juju music maestro, King Sunny Ade.
The concert had some of Nigeria’s biggest artists to thrill the crowd, among them Tiwa Savage Awilo Logomba, Onyeka Onwenu, Sir Shina Peters, Darey, Omawumi, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Iyanya, Jeff and Tyson Noir.
Funke Akindele, Lolo Omotunde and comedian Tee A, served as hosts Advertisement.
One of the highlights of the concert was the auction of King Sunny Ade’s Fender telecaster guitar. It was designed by artist and writer Victor Ehikhamenor.
Bidding for the guitar began at N9m but a bidding war soon saw the bid close at N52.1million.
The Sunny on Sunday concert of King Sunny Ade, Juju maestro, had a lot of great performances as well as a few surprises.
